What it does
Plan a trip with friends on one live map. Everyone edits the same days, so nobody is working off a stale copy. Notes, budget, packing lists and travel documents live on the trip instead of six other apps. AI reads the plan for what breaks on the day: closed Mondays, a 20-minute connection, the last train you would miss. When a flight is delayed or cancelled, Treader files the claim. Up to $1,000 back.

Twelve open tabs and a group chat nobody can scroll back through. Treader puts every stop on one map, works out the days and drive times as you go, and lets everyone who's coming edit the same plan. Building it takes minutes, not an evening. You expect a map with every place on it, and it’s here. The rest is the part a map app doesn’t do: a day that retimes itself when you move a stop, a ferry and a flight counted on the same clock, an assistant that has read your itinerary, and a plan that keeps up when the day slips. I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy.
