What it does
This extension gives VSCode support for tree-sitter syntax coloring. Examples with tree-sitter coloring on the right: If you see something getting colored wrong, or something that should be colored but isn't, you can help! The simplest way to help is to create an issue with a simple example, a screenshot, and an explanation of what is wrong. You are also welcome to fix the problem yourself and submit a PR. Colorization is performed by the various colorLanguage(x, editor) functions in src/colors.ts . When working on the colorization rules, please keep in mind two core principles: It's straightforward to add any language with a tree-sitter grammarfrom marketplace.visualstudio.com

Tree-sitter Integration for Swift2024 · github.com · ▲52I have created a Swift package (https://github.com/daspoon/tree-sitter-kit) enabling tree-sitter parsers to be written in Swift; specifically, as an array of production rules which map symbol types to pairings of syntax expression and type constructor. A member macro derives a tree-sitter grammar and embeds the generated parser in its expansion. This project is a work in progress, and I will be grateful for any feedback. Thanks, Dave

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
