What it does
Package your code into an application that runs on any cloud provider. Integrate, deploy, and share cloud services and infrastructure. Replace tedious and fragile configuration with reusable, adaptable blueprints. Use your own infrastructure and accounts. Open-source, standards-base. Your data stored in git. Easily self-host free open-source services. Avoid cloud provider lock-in. Developer-centric project management. Simple secrets and access control. Share blueprints and live services. Build cloud blueprints for your applications that declares your code and the services (like databases) that it depends on. Deploy onto your own accounts on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or Digital Ocean —…from unfurl.cloud

the cloud is a walled garden built for profit [ not efficiency ]. you’re paying for idle, autoscaling is too slow, and serverless is a scam. locked in, overcharged, and out of options. lttle.cloud is different. decentralized, open-source, and built for real performance [ sub-10ms cold start ], true pay-for-what-you-use pricing, and zero vendor lock-in. deploy anything as "serverless" from any docker image, no rewrites, no bullshit. powered by the blockchain and built in public, it’s transparent, efficient, and free from vendor lock-in. run your own private cloud or join the decentralized…

Uncloud – Uncomplicated container orchestration without control plane2025 · github.com · ▲30Hey HN, I'm building Uncloud — a lightweight clustering and container orchestration tool that lets you deploy and manage web apps across cloud VMs and bare metal with minimal cluster management overhead. After several years of managing and extending Kubernetes at a unicorn, I realised that I desperately needed a change. All those abstraction layers, unnecessary complexity, boilerplate… I wanted container orchestration to bring me joy again, the way Ansible did when I first tried it a decade ago, or Docker after that. That’s when I decided to start an experiment that is now called Uncloud.…

I made a thing! In 2014, I was holding a stack of iPhones and thought to myself: "Hey, if I had each phone display a playing card, I could click a button and they'd shuffle themselves" I pared that idea all the way down to this: trading cards made of e-ink displays. Right now, each card costs me about $20 each, but with only a bit more scale, I think I can get that down to $10. In doing this project, I learned how to design electronics and circuit boards. I learned Rust and wrote my first driver, I upped my CAD skills, 3D printed, and did my first resin casting. I generated the images on the…
