We (TrueVault), released our HIPAA compliant file storage today. Our BLOB Store is not a cloud file backup service like Box or Dropbox but instead, it's meant to be integrated with healthcare mobile apps, web apps and wearable devices. During our beta period in December, early adopters are using the BLOB Store to store X-Rays, CT Scans, MRIs, PDFs, scanned medical records, images, and videos. You can upload, update, delete, and download any binary file via our REST API. We are also beta testing a browser-to-TrueVault direct file upload and download web form. If you would like to join the…

Hi HN, For the past few months, I’ve been building UnisonDB — a log-native database where the Write-Ahead Log (WAL) is the database, not just a recovery mechanism. I started this because every time I needed data to flow — from core to edge, or between datacenters — I ended up gluing together a KV database + CDC + Kafka. It worked, but it always felt like overkill: too many moving parts for even small workloads, and too little determinism. What is it? UnisonDB unifies storage and streaming into a single log-based core. Every write is: • Durable (appended to the WAL), • Ordered (globally…

I had this backup code working reliably for years, using local file system, vps/dedicated server, or remote storage for backup, then I finally get time to wrap README, iron few missing switches and publish. Should be production ready and reliable, so it could be useful to others. Contributors are welcome.

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
