Unwrapped: beta

Spotify wrapped, but for WhatsApp

Unwrapped: beta launched on August 27, 2024 with 100 votes, #628 of 5,471 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 2 years on.

What it does

Get unique analyses of your WhatsApp conversations, featuring statistics like most popular emojis, AI-predicted personality types, longest chatting streaks and more.

Yes, most of the analysis functionality is free, with the exception of personalized statistics that require a premium tier. Your data is used only in the moment of the analysis, and immediately deleted after. For personalized statistics, a small subset of data is shared with the OpenAI model. As of now, Unwrapped can only analyze WhatsApp conversations. However, the plan is to expand to other services like YouTube and Instagram. Your conversation data is only used for the analysis in the moment, and is not stored afterwards. You may request to delete all analyzed statistics from the applicationfrom qanpi.github.io

Hi, HN! I built ZapZipped, a fun way to analyze your WhatsApp group chats at the end of the year, inspired by Spotify Wrapped. Get stats and archetypes awarded to different chatters: Stats like like most active day, most used words, emoji usage, and Awards like ‘The Ghost’, 'The MVP', and ‘The Podcaster’. No data storage: Everything is processed on your device, and no data is saved Check it out here and let me know what you think: zapzipped.com

Hey HN, I am an indie hacker and I am launching my second product. Spotify Wrapped seems like a cool concept, so I imagined what Wrapped would look like for whatsapp. Privacy was a major concern for exporting plain text so I decided to not store ANY DATA by not having DB in the first place and open source the project. Hope you have fun making your Wraps xD anshulagx

  • Hey there HN! We’re Joe and Stopa, and today we’re open sourcing InstantDB, a client-side database that makes it easy to build real-time and collaborative apps like Notion and Figma. Building modern apps these days involves a lot of schleps. For a basic CRUD app you need to spin up servers, wire up endpoints, integrate auth, add permissions, and then marshal data from the backend to the frontend and back again. If you want to deliver a buttery smooth user experience, you’ll need to add optimistic updates and rollbacks. We do these steps over and over for every feature we build, which can…
