What it does
Value Study is a small, focused app for artists who want to see light and shadow more clearly. It began as a simple way to make value studies easier and is now used by thousands of artists on iOS, Android, and macOS. As of January 2026, the Android version is fully stable alongside the long-running iOS app. The new website offers guides and reference material to support learning. The next step is working with schools and art teachers to bring value study in more classrooms.

Hello HN, this has been my personal project for quite some time now. It has been a slowly evolving project over the years and its core function is for users to expose themselves to progressively more difficult lessons of music notes. NOTE: It is free and there are no ads. There is an in app purchase but most of the app doesn't require it.
