Veilcast
Keep your private apps hidden on screen shares
Veilcast launched on June 27, 2026 with 2 votes.
What it does
I built a lightweight tool to hide private windows (like Slack/Discord) when sharing your screen on Zoom/Teams. Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm the creator of VeilCast. As a remote worker, I was always terrified of accidentally leaking a private Slack message or sensitive file while sharing my screen on Zoom. So, I built a solution. VeilCast is an ultra-lightweight (400kb) Windows tool that completely shields specific windows from screen capture.

CloaklyJan 2026 · getcloakly.com · ▲90I built a Windows tool to solve a problem I kept running into during live coding interviews and proctored assessments. I wanted to keep reference notes or personal apps open on my own screen without exposing them to the interviewer or screen-share software. Cloakly hides specific windows from the screen-share stream while keeping them fully visible locally. It works with Zoom, Teams, Meet, Loom, and most proctoring tools. Right now the core engine works, and I'm looking for beta testers to help with edge cases before the public release. Would love feedback from anyone who regularly…
- 1F1-FPS encrypted screen sharing for introverts2024 · 1fps.video · ▲433
I wanted to show you something I was hacking on for the last few weeks. I tired of sharing screen via Google Meet with 1-hour limitation, with Zoom and 40-minute limitation, etc. With paid Slack subscription. And often times I just needed to screenshare with no audio. So I ended up with my own solution - no registration, low memory, low CPU, low tek 1 fps encrypted screen sharing. Currently sharing only the main screen (good for laptop users). It's very raw in terms of infrastructure, since I'm not counting bytes (yikes!), everything works on my own dedicated server. But the service itself…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
