Vendo
Let your users build their own features inside your product
In plain words
Vendo is an open-source customization layer that embeds an AI agent into software products, allowing customers to build their own features and micro-apps by describing what they need. The system works within a company's existing API and brand guidelines, assembling real applications with actions, automations, and persistent state rather than throwaway generated interfaces. Users can create custom views, automate workflows, and connect tools without waiting for feature requests to be processed through traditional development cycles.

Vendo is an open-source customization layer in your product that lets every customer add the features and micro-apps they need, just by describing what they want. Until now software has been rigid, and every customer had to adapt to it. Vendo makes it dynamic, so your product shapes itself around each customer, built on your own API and inside the guardrails you set.

An open-source customization layer. Your users build their own features and micro-apps, right on top of your product. Your customers describe what they need, and your product assembles it live. Not throwaway generated UI: real micro-apps with actions, automations, and state, theirs to keep. No ticket, no roadmap, no waiting. Any slice of your product, composed into a working dashboard. UI, data, and logic assembled live. The interface builds itself. One command reads your repo and learns everything: your components and colors, your API as callable tools, your permission rules. What it builds wears your brand, runs sandboxed as the signed-in customer, and never steps outside permissions they…from vendo.run

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
