VETTOR OS
The 48-Hour AWS War Room for Elite Founders.
What it does
An elite sanctuary for verified hackers and hustlers. Brutal pitch deck roasts, zero-knowledge matching, and startup survival tools. A zero-knowledge matchmaking platform that skips the small talk. Take a psychometric test, swipe on verified founders, and enter a 48-hour pressure room to build a real MVP.

Linux Foundation survey says 70-90% of modern software constitute OSS code. Yet we are stuck with tools that scan only for vulnerabilities in 3rd party libraries and that too with high degree of false positives. I built `vet` for policy and data driven analysis of 3rd party packages that goes beyond only vulnerability and allows codifying organisational policies related to OSS consumption. https://github.com/safedep/vet Looking forward to feedback and suggestions from HN :)

Coding agent management is all the rage right now, and many tools are being created to fill the gap. As a power user for all tools I've used since I've started my software engineering career, I've always taken the time to test multiple tools thoroughly before deciding on one, and an agentic manager was no different. I've tested many tools, but ultimately landed on Agent of Empires (AoE for short). Why ? Because it's fast, the development is active and it's feature complete, and easy to contribute to. So I did (contribute). In my day to day workflow for my job, I need the ability to start…

Hey everyone, BreezyPod is an AWS App Runner alternative. We are built to be more inclusive to different workloads and budgets so customers can focus on their projects instead of spending hours migrating to and learning about ECS or EKS. Unlike app runner, we support free scale to zero, websockets, CPU & memory based scaling, and ARM instances. All new accounts can create 1 free pod for 24 hours. We would love to hear everyone's thoughts! - Website link: https://breezypod.dev/ - Demo: https://youtu.be/Ci-AKVKSQQI

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
