Veynt — Prediction Markets on BOT

Confidential prediction markets on BOT Chain

What it does

Veynt combines encrypted predictions, Flare Data Connector (FDC) data retrieval, an off-chain evaluator, TEE-authorized resolution, and Merkle-based payouts. The market itself is created, funded, and resolved on BOT Chain. For supported price-based markets, external price data is retrieved through Flare's Data Connector and passed into the evaluator. The evaluator determines the outcome and prepares the settlement data before submitting the authorized resolution back to BOT Chain.

A confidential prediction market built on BOT Chain.

Veynt is a decentralized prediction market where you can trade on real-world outcomes using crypto. Discover markets, take positions, and let the outcome determine your payout. Veynt keeps your prediction private while keeping settlement transparent and verifiable. Your YES or NO choice stays encrypted until the market is resolved. External data comes from FDC while BOT Chain handles the final settlement. Winning bettors receive proportional payouts based on their share of the pool. Create a market, take a position, and let the outcome determine the winners. Set the asset, direction, target price, and duration. Creating a market costs a fixed 1 BOT fee. Choose YES or NO and stake your BOT.…from veyntmarket.adarshpandey.xyz

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
