Vibe Language
My girlfriend and I wanted to text each other in the language we're learning. Tried WhatsApp but kept copy-pasting to ChatGPT. Too much friction. So I built a simple messenger with AI built in: - Helps you write before you send (translate or improve) - Explains any message you receive - Save expressions and review later iOS only for now. Free. Would love technical feedback or ideas.
Vibe Language launched on January 30, 2026 with 6 votes, #2,272 of 14,584 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches. The site was not reachable when checked in September 2026.
What it does
Vibe Language is a messaging app for language learners. Turn everyday conversations with friends, family, and partners into language practice. Unlike Google Translate or WhatsApp, it's built for language learning, not just translations.

Hi guys, Hope everyone is well. This app was borne out of my own frustration. I thought that I was terrible at learning languages at school, since I didn't become conversational in French after 5 years of study. However, I later traveled with some French friends and, in just under 3 weeks, I was able to hold a reasonable conversation. I realized that there's no substitute for speaking to native speakers. I tried to adopt this approach for other languages, but it's much harder to find people to practise with when you aren't travelling. I started using iTalki to meet people from different…

This is technically a promo, but honestly just pleased with how this one turned out. I don’t write code — this was entirely vibecoded.

Hey HN! I wanted to share something I built over the last few weeks: isometric.nyc is a massive isometric pixel art map of NYC, built with nano banana and coding agents. I didn't write a single line of code. Of course no-code doesn't mean no-engineering. This project took a lot more manual labor than I'd hoped! I wrote a deep dive on the workflow and some thoughts about the future of AI coding and creativity: http://cannoneyed.com/projects/isometric-nyc
