Vivid
Double your MacBook brightness, system-wide
Vivid launched on April 5, 2022 with 125 votes, #235 of 2,974 launches that month and more than 90% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 4 years on.
What it does
The new MacBook Pros and the Pro Display XDR have displays that can go up to 1.600 nits of brightness. By default these levels of brightness can only be reached when watching HDR videos or by using Metal applications. Until now.
Full Brightness, System-wide
No new shortcuts to remember. Your brightness keys now go twice as bright as before. Simple as that. Work outdoors with ease. Vivid's extra brightness makes your screen clear and easy to see, even in the brightest sunshine. You can try Vivid in Splitscreen Mode™ for free for as long as you want. See if it works for your workflow before you consider purchasing a lifetime license. You have to see Vivid to believe it. Luckily these lovely people have made some great reviews about Vivid. Give them a look (and like and subscribe while you're there!) Vivid is a one-time purchase, no subscription. You get all the features in every plan. Yep! When you install Vivid it will start in Splitscreen…from getvivid.app
