VoiceOS App Store
The app store for voice native apps that lives in your notch
What it does
The App Store for your voice, where building takes one sentence. Describe what you want "Create an app to help me to journal" and VoiceOS creates the app for you. Share it as a link and anyone can install it in a click.
VoiceOS is a voice operating system and AI voice assistant for Mac and Windows. Dictate, send messages, search the web, and automate apps by voice.
Your cursor is the context. No more explaining, just point and ask. Dictation only speeds up your typing. VoiceOS multiplies your productivity. Send the email, file the ticket, schedule the meeting. Say it once and VoiceOS does it in the right app. You know exactly what you're looking for. You just don't know where it is. Ask, and VoiceOS pulls it up in seconds. Say it once and let it go. VoiceOS keeps track of the task and brings it back at the right time, so nothing sits in your head. Your audio is never stored on our servers and never used to train models. You decide what leaves your Mac. Founders, creators, and builders are replacing typing with VoiceOS. VoiceOS lets me get work done…from voiceos.com

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
