Waveform Playlist v5 – Multi-track Web Audio editor (React and Tone.js)

I vibe-coded a complete React rewrite of my multi-track audio editor with Claude. Waveform Playlist v5 started as a "let's see how far AI can take this" experiment. The original was vanilla JS (~8 years old). The new version is React + Tone.js with proper TypeScript, tree-shaking, and a modular package structure. What we built: canvas waveforms, drag-and-drop clip editing, 20+ Tone.js effects, AudioWorklet recording, WAV export, annotations, theming. Hey HN. I built this quick and dirty component to render audio waveforms using WebGPU. I just published it to NPM. It's the first time I use WebGPU and it's been a while since I write shaders. Feedback is very welcome! GitHub: https://github.com/mrkev/webgpu-waveform Examples: https://aykev.dev/webgpu-waveform

Hi HN, I’ve been working on a browser-based tool for exploring and debugging Web Audio API graphs. Web Audio Studio lets you write real Web Audio API code, run it, and see the runtime graph it produces as an interactive visual representation. Instead of mentally tracking connect() calls, you can inspect the actual structure of the graph, follow signal flow, and tweak parameters while the audio is playing. It includes built-in visualizations for common node types — waveforms, filter responses, analyser time and frequency views, compressor transfer curves, waveshaper distortion, spatial…

  • Open-source sound effects and react library to spice up your website2025 · reactsounds.com · ▲21

Hi all, I've been using sound effects in a few web-projects lately (mostly for notifications) and it's always a pain to find good sound effects and then handle them in the browser. So, I compiled my learnings into an easy-to-use React library. It currently has ~70 sound effects (MIT licensed) and I'm happy to add more if you have any requests. PS. the sound effects can of course be used without the React library!

Hey HN! I wanted to share something I built over the last few weeks: isometric.nyc is a massive isometric pixel art map of NYC, built with nano banana and coding agents. I didn't write a single line of code. Of course no-code doesn't mean no-engineering. This project took a lot more manual labor than I'd hoped! I wrote a deep dive on the workflow and some thoughts about the future of AI coding and creativity: http://cannoneyed.com/projects/isometric-nyc
