We built an AI Agent to reproduce bugs
At Metabase, we built an AI agent called Repro-Bot that reads our GitHub issues and attempts to reproduce reported bugs automatically. It started as a hackathon project and is now part of our daily workflow, so we wrote about it and open-sourced the code as an example for others. How have similar tools been working for you? What has worked well and what has not?

In plain words
Repro-Bot is an AI agent that automatically reads GitHub issues and attempts to reproduce reported bugs. Built at Metabase as a hackathon project, it has become integrated into their daily workflow for bug triage. The team has open-sourced the code as a reference implementation for others building similar automated bug reproduction tools. It is designed for software development teams managing bug reports.

Repro-Bot is an AI agent that reproduces issues in the Metabase backlog to help us fix bugs faster.
Reproducing bug reports is one of the most time-consuming parts of maintaining an open source project. We built an AI agent called Repro-Bot to help us with this task. In this post, we’re sharing how we built it and show you how you can build your own. If you want to skip ahead and check out our code, take a look at the Repro-Bot repo ! This process is a mix of judgement calls (like ”fix it,” or what constitutes a relevant change), and chores like setting up the environment, following the steps, and asking the same questions over and over. Repro-Bot automates the boring parts and gets us started on fixing the issue. As Repro-Bot attempts to repro an issue, it generates a report with its…from metabase.com

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
