In plain words
Slant is a community-driven platform for discussing subjective programming topics that launched in 2012. It serves developers and programmers who want to explore nuanced software discussions beyond objective facts. The platform distinguishes itself by creating structured conversations around subjective questions where multiple valid perspectives exist, enabling users to compare different viewpoints and make informed decisions about tools, languages, and practices.

Hey guys, Would really appreciate some feedback on a site we are working on that deals with programming/tech questions with no definitive answer. The concept is that while there may be no definitive answer to "Best X for Y", knowing the pros/cons of the different options and their use-cases is useful when making a decision. We also took a different approach to Q&A and went very collaborative, so one person doesn't have to write everything and we can improve/update it over time. Thanks! www.slant.co

Hi, I'm a high school teacher from Australia and I've built what I'd like to think is a pretty nifty ChatGPT powered presentation tool for teachers. I'd love it if you could have a look at it and give me some of your feedback. I don't think there's much overlap with the HN crowd and school teachers, but I've been coming here for many years and thought I'd post here and see what you all think. Check it out if you have a minute and I'd be super happy to hear your feedback too. https://www.slidehero.ai/ You can jump in and have a play with the tool all you like ;) Cheers, Eli
