In plain words
Weekend Hack combines Twitter Bootstrap, Jplayer, and the YouTube API to create a web-based music player. Built as a weekend project, it integrates YouTube's video library with a customizable player interface. The tool is designed for developers looking to quickly prototype or build music applications without starting from scratch. It leverages existing frameworks and APIs to simplify audio playback and user interface design.

Winamp and other media players, rebuilt for the web with Web Components2024 · player.style · ▲392Hey all, creator of Video.js and co-founder of Mux & Zencoder here. My team and I built this. I hope you like the themes we’ve built so far, and maybe even get inspired to build your own. I know Web Components are in a bit of a drama cycle right now. My weekend hack project was to put together a small web app for sharing links in the spirit of memepool.com. It uses a bookmarklet to let people clip interesting articles to share while reading and uses a subset of markdown to add links and blockquotes to posts. It also uses oEmbed to pull in content from popular sites (youtube, slideshare, vimeo, etc) and API integrations to show tweets. It was fun to build - I'd love feedback. Thanks! http://findsignal.com

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
