Winnow
Your timeline on X, minus the bot sludge.
What it does
X (Twitter) is full of great ideas and insightful people. But the problem? You often have to dig through a mountain of low-effort, repetitive spam to find them. Winnow clears the clutter. It quietly collapses low-effort, likely automated replies using multiple signals, not one silly “AI detector” trick. Nothing is deleted, everything is reversible, and filtering stays private and local by default. Less noise. More signal. Your timeline on X, Winnowed.
A private, reversible Chrome extension that collapses strong matches for low-effort automated-looking replies on X.
Winnow collapses strong matches for low-effort, automated-looking replies into clean 52px rows. Your timeline stays readable, and every original reply stays one click away. What did you learn after shipping your first browser extension? Chrome requires a short manual install for extensions distributed outside its paid store. Download the release, extract it, and load the folder—no account or payment required. Choose Load unpacked and select the extracted Winnow folder. Direct installs do not update automatically. This page will always carry the newest verified release. Winnow combines content, timing, account context, and repeated-pattern evidence. I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
