Womer Workout Timer

Free workout timer with no ads, subscriptions, or login

What it does

Most workout timer apps are overloaded with ads, subscriptions, and unnecessary features. I built Womer Workout Timer to be the opposite: fast, simple, and distraction-free. It’s completely free, requires no account, has no ads, and works great for gym workouts, HIIT, home training, boxing, stretching, and more. Built by someone who actually trains and just wanted a clean timer that gets out of the way.

Programmable timer web app (for gym workouts or stretching sessions)25d ago · timer.jotaen.net · ▲30

Over the last couple of months, I’ve been building a timer web app for myself that I use for workout and stretching sessions. The app counts down the program, beeps, and reads the activities out loud. Two things (I suppose) are special about it: - The timers are “programmable”, so you can freely express your own routines and procedures in a declarative notation. - The app is all static (no backend): the entire program is encoded in the URL and…

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
