What it does
Yosemite Crew is an open-source operating system designed for animal health industry. At its core is a free, fully customizable PMS that unifies pet care operations, bringing together pet owners, pet businesses, and developers into one innovative ecosystem.
Yosemite Crew is the open-source operating system for animal health that puts the whole story on one screen: for the clinic, the pet parent, and whoever cares for them next.
Most animals are cared for in slices, a vet here, a lab there, a note nobody opens. Yosemite Crew is the open-source operating system for animal health that puts the whole story on one screen: for the clinic, the pet parent, and whoever cares for them next. Whether you run a clinic, a boarding kennel or a grooming salon, one system carries the day: appointments, records, invoicing and inventory, instead of six tabs and a notebook of workarounds. And because the database lives on your machine, a blinking router never takes the morning down. Cats, dogs and horses. Every record, every visit and every dose in one place, shared with everyone who helps care for them. Book across the businesses…from yosemitecrew.com

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

I built the world's most impractical 1000-pixel display and anyone in the world can draw on it. It draws a single pixel at a time and takes 30-60 minutes to complete a single image. Anyone can participate in the project by voting for the next image to be drawn, and submitting images. https://kilopx.com/

Kitten TTS is an open-source series of tiny and expressive text-to-speech models for on-device applications. We are excited to launch a preview of our smallest model, which is less than 25 MB. This model has 15M parameters. This release supports English text-to-speech applications in eight voices: four male and four female. The model is quantized to int8 + fp16, and it uses onnx for runtime. The model is designed to run literally anywhere eg. raspberry pi, low-end smartphones, wearables, browsers etc. No GPU required! We're releasing this to give early users a sense of the latency and voices…

I was wondering how I can arrange objects along a spherical helix path, and read some articles on it. I ended up learning about parametric equations again, and make this visualization to document what I learned: https://visualrambling.space/moving-objects-in-3d/ feel free to visit and let me know what you think!

For HTML Day 2025 [1], I made a web service that displays the current sky at your approximate location as a CSS gradient. Colours are simulated on-demand using atmospheric absorption and scattering coefficients. Updates every minute, without the use of client-side JavaScript.
