Z6 PQC-Gateway

Denial-of-service protection for post-quantum endpoints

Z6 PQC-Gateway launched on July 17, 2026 with 5 votes, #4,557 of 24,623 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches.

What it does

ML-KEM-768 decapsulation costs 791 µs of server CPU, and any client triggers it with 1,088 bytes. In one month Cloudflare handled 89 separate attacks above 100m. Google mitigated one peaking at 398m. Absorbing that means owning 80k cores that idle the rest of the year. Nobody provisions that at any price, so the endpoint goes down. Or a 24-byte token, 2.2% overhead on the ciphertext it gates, no server state, no session memory, no shared secret.

Stateless denial-of-service protection for post-quantum key exchange. A 24-byte admission token, verified in 1.5 microseconds, in front of any ML-KEM endpoint.

An LLM inference call costs seconds of GPU time. A post-quantum handshake, 791 µs of CPU. Both are triggered by a request that costs the sender nothing to send. A CDN absorbs volumetric floods, but it cannot tell you whether a well-formed request was worth serving. That judgement has to happen at your edge, before the expensive work starts. This is that step. A 24-byte token, verified in 1.5 µs with no server state, that costs the requester real CPU to obtain and costs you almost nothing to refuse. Z6P , the accompanying protocol, is post-quantum and photonics compatible. Pick what a single request costs you to serve, then a rate someone can push at you. The gap between those two numbers is…from secz6.oooooooooo.se

    TensorDock Core GPU Cloud – GPU servers from $0.29/hr2022 · tensordock.com · ▲147

Hello HN! I’m Jonathan from TensorDock. After 7 months in beta, we’re finally launching Core Cloud, our platform to deploy GPU virtual machines in as little as 45 seconds! https://www.tensordock.com/product-core Why? Training machine learning workloads at large clouds can be extremely expensive. This left us wondering, “how did cloud ever become more expensive than on-prem?” I’ve seen too many ML startups buy their own hardware. Cheaper dedicated servers with NVIDIA GPUs are not too hard to find, but they lack the functionality and scalability of the big clouds. We thought to…

A usage circuit breaker for Cloudflare WorkersMar 2026 · ▲29

I run 3mins.news (https://3mins.news), an AI news aggregator built entirely on Cloudflare Workers. The backend has 10+ cron triggers running every few minutes: RSS fetching, article clustering, LLM calls, email delivery. The problem: Workers Paid Plan has hard monthly limits (10M requests, 1M KV writes, 1M queue ops, etc.). There's no built-in "pause when you hit the limit", CF just starts billing overages. KV writes cost $5/M over the cap, so a retry loop bug can get expensive fast. AWS has Budget Alerts, but those are passive notifications, by the time you read the email,…

    H100cloud.com – Dutch Auction Cloud Exchange2024 · h100cloud.com · ▲11

Hey HN! We’re Thomas and Andrew, and we just built a Dutch auction exchange for cloud H100 rentals. It’s live at https://www.H100cloud.com. Auctions traditionally start at a base price and work their way up. That doesn’t work for cloud computing — would you ever want to be outbid and lose your data? Our Dutch auction model starts at a ceiling — $3.50/hr per H100. We lower prices every six hours until servers are picked up by buyers. We stop lowering them when prices reach a $2.20 floor. When you rent a server, the price is locked until you delete the server. You’ll never get…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

I might be the only SRE on Earth with his own bowling center. It's a more in-depth gig than you'd think. My family and I bought an abandoned 8-lane bowling center in the rural mid-west. In our small town there weren't many recreation options for families. You've heard of a food desert? This is an R&R desert. It had been abandoned for a good reason. The roof leaks, the electrical system was constantly surging, and my 70-year-old bowling equipment (still) doesn't work perfectly. The system that keeps your score is particularly interesting to me. It's the thing you watch during your game, but…

Over the past few months, our team has been building more and more slidedecks using web frontend technologies with coding harnesses like Claude Code, but a common complaint is to make even small edits we need to edit the code either manually or via the harness. To avoid this loop, I ended up creating Bento, a single HTML file with everything you need in a slide tool including animations and shared editing. There's no install or cloud login, everything works offline. The default deck is around 560 KB and it doesn't need to fetch anything once you got it. Open it in a browser and then you can…

  • A few days ago I found myself trying out GLM 5.2 and was really positively impressed. The capabilities and security I was getting from this LLM are similar to those I've gotten from models like Claude or GPT, and this really surprised me. But then I thought, "I wonder how it would work on a normal computer like mine," and above all, "I wonder if it would work without going into OOM on a computer like mine." So I started working with the help of agents to test this possibility. I started converting the model to int4, understanding MTP usage, and if possible implementing DSA for long context.…

Hello! For the last 2 months, I've been building OpenSEO. It's a user friendly UI wrapping the DataForSEO API which has high quality SEO data for keywords, backlinks, AI SEO and competitor research. Instead of paying $100+ per month, you buy DataForSEO credits and pay only for usage. The coolest thing about the project so far has been hearing about what people are building on top of it. People are using coding agents to quickly integrate with Google Search Console, Google Ads and building their own AI SEO and reporting features. Many were already building their own custom solutions around…
