Zip Puzzle

A daily path puzzle for quiet focus

What it does

Zip Puzzle is a calm daily logic game where you draw one clean path through a grid, connect numbers in order, and fill every cell. It is quick to start, easy to understand, and surprisingly satisfying when the route finally clicks.

Hi HN! This is a word search game I launched in the beginning of this year - didn't get much traction then, but it's been posted around a bit (right now getting some traffic from kottke.org) and now has over 12,000 words found! My favorite is the kitty to the north. Hope you…

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
