Hello, HN - I wanted to share this puzzle game I made during my vacation. I'm rather fond of the pipes puzzle where your goal is to restore a scrambled network of connections by rotating tiles. It's usually played on a grid of squares and this all started when I decided to make a programmatic solver for that kind of puzzle. Then I realized that with some minor changes the solver could generate new puzzle instances. I thought about what kind of puzzle to make and someone suggested a hexagonal grid. Domino fit is a domino tiling puzzler I spent a lot of time both making and playing. Its like sudoku but with a geometric angle, the sum of the dots must match the row and column numbers. It's running on Betsy, the server under my couch, and was made with typescript. I'm proud of it. I hope you give it a shot, and appreciate any thoughts or criticisms!

Hi HN! This is a word search game I launched in the beginning of this year - didn't get much traction then, but it's been posted around a bit (right now getting some traffic from kottke.org) and now has over 12,000 words found! Now that it's a little more filled out I figured I'd share it again. Really enjoying seeing what everyone is making on it - it appears most people start by just adding a few words to the big clump in the middle, then adding to other people's projects (or ruining them) and finally working on their own little concepts. I like small puzzle games to play on my mobile, (because you can put them away easily as well). But I got really annoyed that a lot of them force feed you advertisements. To counter this I made my own puzzle game, as a progressive web app. This means you can install it on your mobile or desktop as an application, and play offline. After the game is offline ready, no requests should be outgoing except checking for updates of the game. So there is no tracking/reporting going on.
