Zoo Design Studio v1.0

What it does

Zoo launched their flagship product, Zoo Design Studio v1.0, a professional CAD platform with Text-to-CAD. To get here, they wrote their own geometry engine, CAD programming language, ML model, and CAD GUI. There are also a suite of APIs for developers.

Zoo creates infrastructure for hardware design. We're laying the foundation for a modern hardware design toolkit, so that you can create new design tools never before possible.

Create editable B-rep geometry with familiar CAD tools, code, or AI. Open real, editable models made in our software and see how they were built. I was really impressed by Zookeeper's ability to understand engineering context. It helped me streamline the design process and turn a rough concept into a functional assembly much faster than I expected. I love Zoo Design Studio because it gives me options on how to work. With Zookeeper, I can quickly mock up an idea without stressing about the details, then switch into engineering mode and lock things down by editing parameters and constraints in KCL. The project had traction (1.4k GitHub stars, 95 forks, ~20K visits/month), but was eventually sold due to video licensing hurdles. The new owner stopped maintaining it, and the repo went abandoned.
