24 alternatives to 2025 AI PM Evaluation Framework
Why I Built This [This conversation](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcz39Y0qFxw) between [Aakash Gupta](https://x.com/aakashg0) and [Jaclyn Konzelmann](https://x.com/jacalulu) (Google's Director of AI Product, on his [podcast](https://www.news.aakashg.com/s/product-growth-podcast)) truly inspired me. Jaclyn's AI PM evaluation framework was so clear and rigorous that I immediately thought: "I need to measure myself against this." "In disaster relief, you don't map safe routes and hide them. You share them." I started outlining…

Mocked▲14Hi HN, I launched an AI tool a few months back to help with product management interviews. It's Leetcode-style prep, but you can verbally respond to questions and receive feedback. I originally started it as a side project, but it blew up on Linkedin and we're nearing 5-figure ARR. I would be grateful for some honest feedback and advice on both the growth and engineering side. I'm particularly interested in: - What's one feature you feel is glaringly missing? - How did similar educational consumer apps (7sage, Leetcode) scale beyond just ads? - Should I implement a landing page? I wanted to…

We’ve built an AI risk assessment tool designed specifically for GenAI/LLM applications. It's still early, but we’d love your feedback. Here’s what it does: 1. it performs comprehensive AI risk assessments by analyzing your codebase against different AI regulation/framework or even internal policies. It identifies potential issues and suggests fixes directly through one click PRs. 2. the first framework the platform supports is OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications 2025, upcoming framework will be ISO 42001 as well as custom policy documents. 3. we're a small, early stage team, so the…

Hi HN! Run it: OPENROUTER_API_KEY="sk" npx bff-eval --demo We built a tool to help people take LLM outputs and easily grade them / eval them to know how good an assistant response is. We've built a number of LLM apps, and while we could ship decent tech demos, we were disappointed with how they'd perform over time. We worked with a few companies who had the same problem, and found out scientifically building prompts and evals is far from a solved problem... writing these things feels more like directing a play than coding. Inspired by Anthropic's constitutional ai concepts, and amazing…

aifeed▲10Hi HN! I built aifeed as a simple, real-time feed for AI-related links. It's meant for following new tools, articles and projects as they appear. You can also save interesting links to your favorites so they don't get lost. Submissions are community-driven, with light moderation and a small fee to reduce spam. Happy to hear any feedback.

I’ve spent the last 2.5 months building a product that runs LLM-powered code reviews on my pull requests — and I just launched it. The tool is built specifically for solo developers. You install it on your repo, trigger a scan by creating a pull request, and it leaves structured review comments using OpenAI under the hood. Funnily enough, I used the dev version of this app to review its own pull requests while building it. It helped me spot bugs, simplify structure, and keep quality high — all with minimal need for another human in the loop. Things I want to try out in the next months : -…

Hey all! @sridatta and I wrote a book/zine called Forest Friends on system evals for LLM-driven apps. But it's a bit more whimsical, a bit more visual, and very much inspired by the meme of LLMs being a shoggoth polished into a smiley face with RLHF. LLM system evals are important as companies move past the flashy AI demos to reliable production apps. System evals keep coming up as the answer for what you "should do", but it's not exactly a standard part of the software engineering toolkit. So we pulled from @sridatta's seven years as a research engineer at Google, plus a ton of best…

devtimate▲25Hey HN! I am a FE dev who is working at a software agency and im making 2-3 estimates per week. Creating estimates is painfull manual proccess, where you have to read a lot of .docx like RFP, SRS etc. This was really tiring for me Also in agency where im working we make estimates in google spreadsheets which is another pain, trying to drag something, copy, duplicate can really mess up the whole layout So i just wanted tool that can just automate this a bit. I just started researching and I couldnt find anything good enough for my usecase. So I made a tool for creating estimates with AI. I…

Howdy friends. I've been a zero to one product manager for 12 plus years and along the way I kept borrowing pieces from different discovery frameworks until I had a methodology of my own, one that actually raises the odds of an idea succeeding. This does not replace user interviews obviously, but it leads you in the right direction. Looking forward for your feedback

So I've been obsessed with a weird question for the past 6 months, what happens to SEO when everyone starts asking ChatGPT for recommendations instead of Googling? The answer, apparently, is chaos. And maybe opportunity? I built FirstClick because I noticed something strange. My previous startup was getting zero traffic from AI assistants, but our competitor (objectively worse product, sorry not sorry) was getting mentioned by Claude and Perplexity constantly. It drove me crazy. So I reverse engineered why. Turns out there's a whole new game being played and most founders don't even know it…

I was working on validating some of my own project ideas. While trying to find how to validate my idea, I realized the process itself could be turned into a tool. A few late nights later, I had something that takes any startup idea, fetches discussions, summarizes sentiment, and gives a quick “validation score.” It’s very rough, but it works, and it’s already making me rethink a few of my own ideas. It's still a work in progress. I don't actually know what I'm doing, but I know it's worth it. Honest feedback welcomed! Live demo here: https://validationly.com/

Over the last 3 weeks, I built a website to organize 70+ AI tools into a searchable, reviewed, and categorized hub. Use case: I was constantly sharing AI tools with friends & colleagues, but the available directories felt outdated, shallow, or spammy. So I built my own: - Tools are categorized (e.g. writing, voice, code, automation) - Marked clearly as free/paid - Includes brief reviews, ROI notes, and usage tips - Fully searchable and updated daily - Working on tool ratings, comparisons, and a “trending” leaderboard Website: https://www.toolsverse.tools/ I’d love…

Hey HN, After GPT-3 created waves in the tech industry, a lot of AI tools were emerging and with that, some AI website builders But the results seemed way too generic to us. It felt like the developers were rushing to catch the wave instead of building a proper tool We took our time, did months of RnD and finally came up with something better than what others in the market are doing. It’s got better design output. While it’s still in beta, I wanted to show HN what we did. Will appreciate the feedback when you guys try it out. Here is the link to signup for the beta:…

I built a web page that aggregates data about data center buildup, sovereign fund investments into AI and bottlenecks. The objective is to predict AI race cooldown by looking at a potential decrease of activity involving these elements. The website looks at the quarterly forms from the 5 biggest hyperscalers and adds their CapEx into the mix, calculating a composite index in the end showing how likely it is for the AI race to slow down. Enjoy!

Hey HN! Thank you for all the support and feedback on my original submission 2 months ago. I've been improving the backend using a MCTS/AlphaZero approach and it's currently producing much better results. My long term goal is to allow users to manage multiple projects, deployed autonomously, both from scratch and by making continual updates all prompted with natural language. The cost of each project has been lowered to $9 as performance with smaller models has improved (I migrated from Claude-3-Opus to gemini-1.5-flash). Thanks for checking it out!

Hey HN, I've been working on something cool that I wanted to share with you all. It's called Viewpoint, an analytics tool for LLMs like OpenAI, Anthropic models, and Gemini. The idea came from the constant flood of new LLM models and the need to figure out which ones work best for my projects without breaking the bank. With viewpoint, I can track token usage, costs, latency(WIP), and traffic over time, making it easier to compare different models and see which ones perform best and save money. The tool works asynchronously, so it doesn't add any latency to your LLM requests, and you have…

I built this AI navigation site when I was learning NextJS; I looked for AI tools to solve problems along the way, and found a lot of interesting AI products; A lot of these products are great. I thought it would be a good idea to bookmark my browser, but I wanted to share it with everyone in the world, so I had this site. Now you can do it in AI WITH. ME Find the AI products you need for work, life, and study; I have a lot of categories to choose from: programming, art, writing, video, lifestyle, health, you name it, and I try to update the data every day. A few weeks ago I posted about GoodToGo https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46656759 - a tool that gives AI agents a deterministic answer to "is this PR ready to merge?" Several people asked about the larger orchestration system I mentioned. This is that system. I got tired of being a project manager for Claude Code. It writes code fine, but shipping production code is seven or eight jobs — research, planning, design review, implementation, code review, security audit, PR creation, CI babysitting. I was doing all the coordination myself. The agent typed fast. I was still the…

Hey HN, I’m Chris, a solo dev in Melbourne AU. For the past month I've been spending my after work hours building AgentVisa. I'm both excited (and admittedly nervous) to be sharing it with you all today. I've been spending a lot of time thinking about the future of AI agents and the more I experimented, the more I realized I was building on a fragile foundation. How do we build trust into these systems? How do we know what our agents are doing, and who gave them permission? My long-term vision is to give developers an "Agent Atlas" - a clear map of their agentic workforce, showing where…

I'm a PM who got tired of the same cycle: do a bunch of customer interviews, dump them in a doc, tell myself I'll synthesize them later, never do. So I built Mimir as a fun side project for myself and my day job. You paste in your raw feedback — interviews, support tickets, survey responses, whatever... and it pulls out themes, ranks them, and tells you what to build next. Every recommendation links back to the actual quotes so you're not just trusting a black box. There's a real pipeline underneath that does extraction, clustering, synthesis across sources. You can chat with your data, push…

Any initial thoughts? This framework is meant to be a tool for construction, so if you want to play around with it for creating potential specific implementations, you can drop the contents of the website, the GitHub README, and the entire overview.md into an AI chat, and that should be enough to use the framework, at least conceptually. Would y'all want me to pre-prime a chat in Google AI Studio with the full context of the plan and some basic direction for discourse? I can share a link to a ready-to-go environment. The core documentation should answer most mechanical questions. And if you…

Hey HN, I'm an AI enthusiast and I am launching apps that use ML to solve problems that we all have. I realized that there are a lot of deepfake faces on youtube and social media, so I thought it would be useful (and fun!) to have a tool that can bust those AI faces. So I built DeeFace for 2 reasons: 1. Check if the face you're looking at is real or not 2. For fun! It's something that I from half a year ago would look at and aspire to build someday. I think it's soemthing anyone who's just starting out with ML would appreciate. I hope this tool is fun for you to use as it was for me to…

Hi guys, I’m excited to share an update on ReproModel, an open-source toolbox designed to streamline the testing and reproduction of machine learning models. I, like many of you, have really struggled with benchmarking and comparing models, from missing code, to opaque experiment parameters slowing the process. I decided to take matters into my own hands, and created a mini-toolbox in my free time to streamline the process. The goal is to reduce the time and effort spent on replicating experiments, enabling researchers to focus on innovation rather than setup. Knowing this task is not an…
