With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.

Hey all, I’ve made this bot, it fetches every story that enters the HN Top 10, summarizes it with AI to a tweet-sized textlog note and publishes it. textlog.cc offers these endpoints as RSS/Atom through textlog.cc/u/hn10.rss and textlog.cc/u/hn10.atom so you can subscribe easily. Enjoy!

Hi HN, We are super excited to launch our second SaaS product, Hyvor Blogs. We (a small team of 3) have been working on this for about a year. After a bunch of testing, feedback, and iterations, here we are at the launch. We are trying to build a blogging platform that has all the features you need to run a blog without having to depend on plugins (themes, SEO, multi-language support, tags, team management, etc.). Most importantly, it’s just a blogging platform - not a site builder - not a membership platform. Overall, it’s been a great learning experience working on Hyvor Blogs. We’d love…

A few weeks ago a friend sent me grug-brain XSLT (1) which inspired me to redo my personal blog in XSLT. Rather than just build my own blog on it, I wrote it up for others to use and I've published it on GitHub https://github.com/vgr-land/vgr-xslt-blog-framework (2) Since others have XSLT on the mind, now seems just as good of a time as any to share it with the world. Evidlo@ did a fine job explaining the "how" xslt works (3) The short version on how to publish using this framework is: 1. Create a new post in HTML wrapped in the XML headers and footers the framework…

Inspired by the recent justfuckingusetailwind.com, I built a similar "love letter" to the Cloudflare ecosystem. I find myself reaching for Workers, R2, D1, and KV for almost every project lately, so I wanted to capture that sentiment in a single, slightly over-the-top page. It’s a simple side project, but the stack is: - Vite + TypeScript - Biome + Ultracite - Deployed (obviously) on Cloudflare First draft in Claude, the copy was drafted with Grok to get that specific tone, then I used Google's AI Studio to accelerate the build with touch up's in Cursor. I run 3mins.news (https://3mins.news), an AI news aggregator built entirely on Cloudflare Workers. The backend has 10+ cron triggers running every few minutes: RSS fetching, article clustering, LLM calls, email delivery. The problem: Workers Paid Plan has hard monthly limits (10M requests, 1M KV writes, 1M queue ops, etc.). There's no built-in "pause when you hit the limit", CF just starts billing overages. KV writes cost $5/M over the cap, so a retry loop bug can get expensive fast. AWS has Budget Alerts, but those are passive notifications, by the time you read the email,…

I've been blogging for 15+ years. I moved from Blogger to WordPress to Ghost and eventually being dissatisfied with all of them (primarily because of bloat), I built a platform for myself and opened it for public. After building it, I searched a bit more and found some good ones (write as, bear blog, etc) but it was quite late. All in all, Lykhari is a simple blogging platform for writers, essayists, journalists, personal bloggers, and above all for humans. Businesses are not welcome. Targeting businesses brings money but also bloat. A platform should exist which is simple and kept simple.
