Products that do what A web app that shows toilets near you does
Hello HN, I made a website where you can find toilets nearby on a map. It has data for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. I fetched the data from openstreetmap with overpass API, cleaned it up and stored it in a supabase DB. In case there was no address, i used nominatim API to geocode it. Feel free to ckeck it out. Happy for feedback. Jan

Hi HN, I made a web game to practice country locations a while ago and HN liked it, so I thought I'd post my updated version as well. As for how the game works and feels, I'd really recommend you checking it out for yourself, it's free, no signup, no ads. The tech stack is Vue + ts + Tailwind/Daisy for the looks. The learning algorithm is a slight modification of the ts version of FSRS. If you have anything to add, it's open source as well (https://github.com/koljapluemer/learn-worldmap), although not well documented yet. In the end it's just a little sideproject,…

I just redesigned an old (1 year) project and would appreciate any feedback. The site has no real purpose other than allowing you to explore the large amount of imagery gathered by Google. You can make it less random by choosing a country, or indeed any geographical area (cities etc.) http://www.mapcrunch.com Thanks

I love culture + travel, and one of my favorite pastimes is dropping into random streets on Google Street View. I just LOVE getting a tiny snippet into how people live, the architecture, and discovering hidden corners of places I'll probably never visit. I'm kinda weird like that. When AI came along, I started asking it to explain what I was looking at - and I learned a ton. I couldn't stop using this combo. So I built Streetwhip. It's kinda like reverse Geoguessr - instead of guessing where you are, you get educated about places as if you had a smart local guide with you. What used to be…

Hi guys, wanted to show my (few) weekends project: http://wherehop.com A free app for you to basically see the best neighbourhoods to live in in many cities around the world. It uses data pulled from various sources to rank the best areas to live. Let me know your thoughts and how it can be improved.

Hi all! We are a tiny team of two that enjoyed using del.icio.us back in the day. It was a simple and efficient tool for two things: saving urls for later, and browsing the web thanks to the tags and some other basic features. So we wondered about rebuilding it. Its been quite a ride, but we finally have a streamlined version of what we are looking for. This is www.urligram.com: a prototype for a new social bookmarking platform. We have been using it for some time, and while there is a lot of work to be done yet, we think it is stable enough to be useful. Currently you will be able to save…
