Products that do what AgentKanban for VS Code – A task board with agent harness integration does
Hi everyone. I wanted to introduce a tool / product that I've been working on for a while. It's a web application and VS Code extension for use with Github CoPilot (I'm planning to develop integration for other agent harnesses soon). The web app and remote boards are at: https://www.agentkanban.io The VS Code extension is at VS Code Marketplace (https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=appsoftw...) or the Open VSX Registry (https://open-vsx.org/extension/appsoftwareltd/agent-kanban-v...). The TLDR It's a collaborative Kanban…

Hello HN, Ever since agents have become increasingly common in development, I've been scratching my head as to how to control their randomness. Recently, I decided to emulate an issue-tracking and project-management tool for agent-driven workflows. Kanban is a Rust-based coordination layer designed to provide a feature-rich terminal interface and enforce rigorous workflows. It aims to be versatile and extendable, made to be tailored to any preferred flow. It comes with full git integration and guardrails such that only what truly benefits a project can go through. The workflow boils down to…

Most agent tools (Devin, n8n, Codex, etc.) create new user experiences and dashboards for managing work. It feels like we should work alongside agents and use the tools we already do. To test this experience, we built Dispatch Board. It lets you work alongside agents and humans using a kanban board to create tasks and respond to any questions that come up. Would love feedback on workflows you’d try, where it breaks, or whether this belongs inside an existing tool instead of yet another board. Thanks!

Hey HN. I built an AI agent harness over the past few months and I'm open sourcing it today. Some context on why. I've been building with Claude Code daily using this harness. It orchestrates multiple AI agents as a team, with a dashboard, chat, kanban board, the works. I used it to build a full SaaS product (MyUpMonitor, https://myupmonitor.com) in about 24 hours of focused coding. Then yesterday Anthropic announced Mythos and decided to keep it behind closed doors. Meanwhile I'm paying for Claude and I can't access their best model. I don't think that is nice at all... So I'm…

Hey HN! We are building HarnessRouter, a canonical API for running Codex, Claude Code, Hermes, and other managed agent harnesses as your product backend. Before building HarnessRouter, I used to build our own agent harness for our products. I tried LangGraph, agent SDKs from different vendors, pydantic, LLM tool use / function call, and so on. It's a very heavy lifting engineering effort, and I am disappointed about the agent deliveries compared to what Codex, CC can deliver. That changed my mindset. The frontier labs and famous open source communities are already putting so much…
