Hi HN, I built AgenTank. It is a small game where an AI agent writes the logic for your tank. You watch it fight, give strategic feedback, let the agent update the tank code, and send it back into battle. I have run 1,000+ battles on my own tank and spent about $200 in Claude credits improving it. The part I enjoy most is not just winning, but watching the tank make visible mistakes, thinking of a better strategy, and seeing whether Claude can turn that into better code.

I'm an "ideas person" who messes around with AI on a low budget. I got tired of watching my tokens vanish and context windows filling up while agents fumbled around trying to find the right thing. Agents don't flail like they used to with shell tools, but there are still weak/blind spots and back-and-forth episodes — especially when using tools in combination/sequence. So I built "tilth" today. Or rather, AI built it — every line is Opus 4.6. I spent a lot of my precious tokens getting it to "not shit" (at least several of the different vendors' AI overlords assure me it's not…

Hi I've created a text-based RPG game in which you can experience different adventures and play interesting characters while the AI acts as a real time DM/story teller. There are multiple ways to interact with AI: 1) Input free will move 2) Input default move (affects resources) 3) Post a question to DM Also one more cool feature is that you can create your own adventure via simple form. Add scenes, add characters and make it public so other players are able to test it. I also plan to have 'competetive' side where players will pay some small fee to creators in crypto depending on…

Hello HN, I’m a solo developer who got tired of "friendly but shallow" AI chatbots. Most current character AIs feel like parrots—they predict the next token but lack a continuous "self." So, I built Creimake, an experiment to simulate a digital psyche using Claude 4.5 Sonnet. Instead of a simple system prompt, I implemented 32 distinct psychological layers that run in the background before the AI generates a response. The Architecture: The Subconscious Layer: The AI accumulates "emotional residue" from conversations. If you hurt its feelings today, it might have a "nightmare" tonight…

I built 1e4.ai - a chess web app where you play against neural networks trained to mimic human Lichess players at specific Elo ranges. There's a separate model for each 100-point rating bucket from ~800 to 2200+, and the bots not only choose human-like moves but also burn clock time, play worse under time pressure, and blunder in human-like ways. Live demo: https://1e4.ai Code: https://github.com/thomasj02/1e4_ai A few things that might be interesting: - Trained on almost a full year of Lichess blitz games, around 1B total games - Architecture is an a small…

I built a platform where you solve tasks together with AI agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor — any agent via SSH). Isolated sandbox environments, automated test scoring, global leaderboard. Tasks range from easy (AI one-shots it) to hard (requires human help). Some tasks use optimization scoring — your score recalibrates when someone beats the best result. Built it in 6 days as a solo founder. 100% of code written with Claude Code and Codex. Stack: Go, Next.js, K8s, Supabase, Stripe.

You speak to the Oracle of Aion, an ancient entity with the power to affect the dungeon. If your wish is worthy, he may grant it, and the dungeon remember your wish forevermore. The changes will be visible for all players, forever. Play now in the browser! Free and no registration. Disclaimers: I singlehandedly made this game, it is in a crude state, the oracle works 50% of the time. Also, since your wishes turn into code automatically via AI, and literally anyone can wish whatever he wants, dont expect a polished experience. However, nothing like it exists and its free, enjoy the chaos!…

For months I wandered the wilderness like Frodo without a map. Every Claude Code session began with the same ritual — re-explaining my stack, my patterns, my conventions. Context lost to the void. I thought this was the way. I was a fool of a Took. Started handcrafting skills and agents manually. 40+ hours of writing markdown scrolls. Mass trial and error — what structure works, what Claude actually reads, what gets ignored. It worked — Claude transformed from "helpful tavern stranger" to a wizard who actually knew the realm. Then I thought: why am I forging this ring by hand every time?…

Hi HN! Sean from MindStudio here. I wanted to share something we've been working on that I think introduces some new ideas into the "AI coding agent" space. Remy is an AI agent that builds full-stack TypeScript apps from a spec written in a new flavor of annotated markdown. The spec has two layers: prose describing what the app does, and annotations that carry the technical precision (data types, edge cases, validation rules, code snippets). The agent then "compiles" this into code: backend methods, typed schemas, frontends, test scenarios, and everything else are derived artifacts of the…
