Hi Hacker News! We're Samrose and Shaeq from Apptrail (https://apptrail.com). We let B2B SaaS companies easily add customer-facing audit trails to their products. It's currently too hard to build and consume SaaS audit logs. Organizations use audit logs to access and monitor the activity coming from their SaaS tools for security and compliance reasons. For example, a security admin at an enterprise company would use Slack audit logs to see messages sent and what devices and IP addresses they were sent from. Many SaaS companies don’t offer audit trails to their customers, which…

We were using django-easy-audit to track CRUD and API events in Django. The problem: every action meant an extra database write, which slowed transactions, increased infra costs, and left us with audit tables that weren’t great for analytics. I built django-activity-audit (PyPI) to fix this: - Extends Django’s logging system with custom AUDIT and API levels. - Captures CRUD + API request/response events as structured JSON logs. - Vector tails the logs and ships them into ClickHouse. - Grafana makes them queryable and visual. Hi, Wanted to share something I've been working on for over a year. AuditBadger is a compliance management platform that uses AI to write policies (there are underlying "templates" with basic requirements), rewrite controls (or trust service criterions) to match the company context, help figure out your own controls, does initial risk assessment, and business continuity planning (which at least gives you an example of how the process should look like). Fun fact - I wanted to share this a year ago, but then I spotted something similar here. The most common comment was about lacking the SOC 2…

I started using Claude Code (claude --dangerously-skip-permissions) and Codex (codex --yolo) and realized I had no reliable way to know what they actually did. The agent's own output tells you a story, but it's the agent's story. logira records exec, file, and network events at the OS level via eBPF, scoped per run. Events are saved locally in JSONL and SQLite. It ships with default detection rules for credential access, persistence changes, suspicious exec patterns, and more. Observe-only – it never blocks. https://github.com/melonattacker/logira
