The latest CLI releases from google and anthropic are sweet, we wanted build one that can run any model. mcp-use-cli lets you `/model` hop between providers instantly. npm i -g @mcp-use/cli && you're done What's cool: - BYOK (your keys, encrypted locally) - Slash commands for everything - MCP protocol support for custom tools - Works with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, Groq, local Ollama... The whole thing's TypeScript and open source. Built this on top of our Python + TS mcp-use libs, so it speaks MCP out of the box. You can hook up filesystem tools, DB servers, whatever you…

Hello I'm Jack, I was previously a Site Reliability Engineer and i've been working on monitro.dev which makes log monitoring simple for individuals or small teams. It allows you to easily forward any logs to multiple channels such as Slack, Discord & Telegram. The events are also viewable though the admin dashboard and are easily filterable. Currently there is only an NPM package with javascript / typescript support but i have plans to expand this to other languages such as Python, Rust etc. The package has many options, one of them is forwarding any uncaught exception and as an event…

Hi HN! tldr: SendSecurely is a secure platform to send sensitive documents and files to others. All files are encrypted locally before uploading to SendSecurely. The decryption keys are also encrypted and managed by a new audited database system. Anytime anyone accesses the decrypted keys, an audit log is created letting you keep track of everyone you have shared the file with and when they have accessed it. We would love for you to try this new system and share feedback! long (and technical) story: My partner and I have been working for the past 2 years on building a new privacy-oriented…

Hey, I'm Nick from Nutrient, I want to share our newly released MCP Server that enables document workflows using natural language — things like redacting, merging, signing, converting formats, or extracting data. While many MCP servers have traditionally been developer-focused, we recognized that the technology could be highly effective in promoting the adoption of tools that are often hidden from end-user interfaces. We’re really interested to see if this side of the protocol could continue to mature. One thing we struggled with was the inability to receive documents from the client (no…

Hey Hackers, I was building multiple projects lately, and integrating logging was way too much for me. Managing self hosted ELK stack, or using existing log monitoring services (running their agent was consuming hell of resources on my tiny servers). It took me a day to code my own logging server, and client for python projects (serving as python packages - pypi), named it HueLogs. Sharing with you all, please feel free to contribute if you like. I might be adding a npm package for javascript client if I get chance to code tomorrow. Few features too add: - 30 min, last day logs etc. -…

I built an open-source AIOps MCP (Monitoring & Control Plane) that detects anomalies in logs using Isolation Forest. It accepts logs from agents, apps, or collectors, parses and extracts features, and identifies unusual patterns in real time. Alerts can be sent to Slack, Webhooks, or PagerDuty. It’s lightweight, easy to deploy with Kubernetes & Helm, and designed to plug into existing observability stacks. I built this to experiment with combining ML-based anomaly detection and flexible alerting for DevOps/SRE teams. Most AIOps platforms are either too heavyweight or closed-source — I…

Hi HN, I got tired of having to register and having friends having to register accounts just for accepting a party or dinner invitation (also plenty of friends have left social media) so I coded a minimal, no-login event tool: https://yupno.com Dev-friendly stuff: Full REST API, async webhooks for RSVPs with Slack/Discord-adapted payloads. Auto-generates Ical, JSCalendar and JSON-LD. No auth, uses admin/user tokens in url. Should be possible connect to other stuff in fun ways. Free to use, no ads, no tracking. I just wanted a simple tool that respects my time and privacy.…
