This paper formally defines where current AGI hits a structural wall — not a technical one. It shows that no amount of scaling, reinforcement learning, or recursive optimization will break through three deep epistemological and formal constraints: 1. Semantic Closure — An AI system cannot generate outputs that require meaning beyond its internal frame. 2. Non-Computability of Frame Innovation — New cognitive structures cannot be computed from within an existing one. 3. Statistical Breakdown in Open Worlds — Probabilistic inference collapses in environments with heavy-tailed uncertainty.…

Q12 is a new web-based 2D parametric drawing tool built specifically for geometric problem solving, for playing interactive "what if" games with drawings, and for the design and optimization of mechanisms. Q12 has the usual set of drawing constraints found in other CAD tools (e.g. "lines are parallel") but also supports inequality constraints, area constraints, and arbitrary expressions between geometric quantities. We built Q12 to solve problems like those below, after finding that existing CAD systems couldn't handle them well: * Given dimensions on a surveyor's map, figure out if the…

In this post, we document the results of some experiments comparing vanilla Graph RAG (just a single pass of text2cypher) vs. a router agent Graph RAG approach that can call vector search tools alongside text2cypher. The routing agent uses an LLM to decide which vector search tool to call, depending on the terms identified in the question, and it works quite well. The results show that recent frontier LLMs like `gpt-4.1` and the trusty workhorse `gemini-2.0-flash` produce great quality Cypher reliably and reproducibly, with some prompt engineering to ensure that the graph schema is formatted…

Built QueryWeaver, an open-source text2SQL tool that uses a graph to create a semantic layer on top of your existing databases. When you ask "show me customers who bought product X in a certain ‘REGION’ over the last Y period of time," it knows which tables to join and how. When you follow up with "just the ones from Europe," it remembers what you were talking about. Instead of feeding the model a list of tables and columns, we feed it a graph that understands what a customer is, how it connects to orders, which products belong to a campaign, and what "active user" actually means in your…
