It's created by two students from my town. They showed it to me and I thought it was pretty neat. I tried it out and helped them with their copy a bit and it seems to be an app that can do well. I find myself often texting people, "where are you?" so I wrote this little iPhone app that lets me text them a special link. When they click the link, it uses the HTML5 geolocation API to report their location and shows it on a map. http://whru.at/ It's only as accurate as the HTML5 geolocation API, but I've been finding it pretty useful. What do you think?

Last week I decided to have a go at building a location based app, using native APIs for both android and iphone, but using a webview to display the content. I've often wondered whether there are any patterns or cycles to my moods so I built a simple iPhone app that occasionally pings me to ask how I'm feeling on a scale of 1 - 10. I also note down what I'm thinking or doing at that moment and automatically grab my location. I use the data to show some basic statistics on how I've been feeling on average over the past three days, past week and since I started tracking. There's also a graph of my moods over time. I'd love to get feedback on whether people would find something like this useful. I'm curious about what other things people would want…

Hi! I've been building this app over the course of the last year or so, and we've finally gotten it polished and cleaned up to the point where we feel pretty good about it. The goal of this app is to replace the lists that people keep of all the places they want to go, movies they've had friends mention, and books they want to read. I recently launched my first web app, polls.io. It's a super simple polling app that doesn't require sign-up. In my opinion, this is the most simple/social polling app out there. There are certainly many similar apps out there, but I think this one stands out as it straight-forward and doesn't have any unnecessary "mess" getting in the way of the actual poll. From idea to inception this took about a week. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. We'll be listening to feedback in the coming days/weeks in order to make the proper changes. http://impromptudo.com is a small project I've been working on. Just a webapp for now but I think it qualifies as an MVP. Also has a mobile version at the same url or http://m.impromptudo.com. Right now it pulls in data from meetup.com for upcoming meetups in several populous cities so it's not just an empty map. You can also click on the map to put up your own post. Trying to stay away from making it all social networky, there are plenty of those already.<p>Finally, I'm not a designer, as you can see.

I recently built an iOS app called Settld: Group Restaurant Finder that helps friends decide where to meet by finding restaurants that are roughly equally far from everyone’s location, and displaying information about them. We’ve all been in chaotic group chats where no one can agree on where to eat — this app cuts through that by calculating a “sweet spot” for the group. For 2 people, it’s the midpoint. I've just published my app and I would love to have more feedback on it. I got the idea when I was busy moving around several projects during my last semester.
