Products that do what Categorised eBay GPU Prices does

I've made a GPU comparison site: https://gpu-prices.com/US/ Yes, there was one yesterday - I got beaten to it. This one is different in that I've put a lot of work into categorisation, so you can filter down quite precisely. For example, VRAM-per-dollar, limiting to Nvidia, and a minimum performance score allow you to find good ML GPUs. It currently supports Australia, Canada, Ireland, the UK, and the US. The tech stack is Python for data pull and static site generation then Cloudflare Pages for actually serving the site. It updates three times a day, but I could increase…

Out of curiosity, I put together a simple website which tracks the prices for a few variations of A100/H100 GPUs by hour broken out between spot/ondemand, form factor and provider. Specifically I was tailoring the tool towards the smaller, emerging providers like runpod, gpulist.ai, lambda labs etc. Anyone have any ideas to expand/refine it?

I run a small project called best-gpu.com, a site that ranks GPUs by price-to-performance. While browsing PC building forums and Reddit, I kept seeing the same question: “What should I upgrade to from my current GPU?” Most answers are just lists of cards without showing the actual performance gain, so people often end up paying for upgrades that barely improve performance. So I built a small tool: a GPU Upgrade Calculator. You enter your current GPU and it shows: estimated performance gain a value score based on price vs performance a filtered list of upgrade options (brand, price, VRAM,…

Hey HN! This idea started with me not being able to buy a GPU and constantly losing to bots/scalpers. I figured I'd use this as way to see how far I can get with 'vibe-coding and designing'*. The end result was pretty far! Here are more details of behind the scenes. In a future blog post, I'll detail behind the scenes process of building this. - The landing page is React/Typescript/Tailwind.css (which I've never used before) - The dashboard is based on Evidence.dev - which is SQL queries in Markdown + little bit of custom Javascript for chart formatting (again never used…

A bit late in the new diskprices-like website trend, but here's my contribution to the ecosystem. The goal here is to get an instant comparison of the laptops on ebay, using mostly 3 metrics of now: CPU benchmark rank, GPU benchmark rank, and price, without having to scroll through the item description or google the PC model. At the moment there are some parsing bugs, and some components that aren't parsed yet. I also quickly run into the ebay rate limit, making it hard to maintain an hour-by-hour listing. Curious to know what you guys think!

I built a small weekend project to help track RAM prices, since DDR3/DDR4/DDR5 costs have suddenly jumped recently and I was struggling to find good deals for my NAS build. RamScout scans eBay (UK/US) and ranks RAM listings by price per GB, with filters for type, capacity, speed, condition, etc. It’s a simple MVP — no frills, no accounts, no ads — just a fast way to spot unusually cheap listings. Would appreciate any feedback, especially on performance, UI, and whether expanding to more regions/vendors would be useful. Thanks!

We built, saga[1] a layer that lets smaller teams access enterprise GPU discounts through collective buying power. How it works: 1. Aggregate GPU spend across hundreds of ML teams 2. Get enterprise rates through combined volume 3. Pass savings to users, monetize via provider partnerships Technical notes: - Works at billing layer only (no access to code/data) - Supports existing cloud setups or managed GPUs - Private beta running since January, opening more spots for March - Currently seeing ~50% savings on H100s/A100s [1] https://trysaga.ai

GPU rental prices are super volatile but there's no derivatives market to hedge. I built a perpetual futures platform to see what this could look like. The idea is airlines hedge jet fuel, starbucks hedges coffee beans - as GPU compute becomes critical infrastructure the same hedging tools should exist. Not sure if anyone actually needs this but it was interesting to build. How it works: - Pulls live H200 spot prices from Vast.ai every 15s into a tradeable index - Full perp mechanics: funding rates, mark price calc, real-time P&L - Event-driven Rust backend with supervisor pattern and…

It's a chrome extension that automatically loads the specs from the Hugging Face model card into the calculation. > To test it, install the extension (no registration/key needed) and navigate to a HF model page. Then click the "VRAM" icon on the top right to open the sidepanel. You can specify quantization, batch size, sequence length, etc. Works for inference & fine-tuning. If it does not fit on the specified GPUs, it gives you an advise on how to still run it (e.g. lowering precision). It is inspired at my work, where we were constantly exporting metrics from HF to estimate required…

Hi everyone, Please checkout compute.cx which is a simple cli interface for using on demand GPUs from RunPod and HotAisle. I created this because I really like the ease of modal.com for severless gpu access, but don’t always want to pay their markup. Compute.cx gives the same DX but on public on-demand GPUs like runpod and hotaisie. Please try it out, and write to me [email protected] for any questions/suggestions, or file a bug report on https://github.com/theoriclabs/docs.compute.cx Thanks! Hey HN, If you tried running open-source models like Llama 3.1 70B or 405B, you might have noticed that it gets very expensive. The reason looks obvious enough that you might have stopped even before trying it! - GPUs are very expensive to buy or rent - Running the most performing LLMs need 4, 8 or even 16 top of the line Nvidia GPUs - And that won’t get you anywhere near the level of VRAM needed to batch enough to get a decent throughput and efficiency Some have even questioned if open-source LLM providers are not doing some shenanigans to provide the prices they offer. VC funded…

We just launched www.styckyd.com, a marketplace for automotive enthusiasts to buy and sell parts. We're trying to tackle a number of problems that users experience when trying to buy and sell parts on automotive forums or on eBay Motors. Search, and shipping come to mind. Because of the nature of search on either of these sites it's difficult to provide relevant results, sellers have to think like SEO experts and buyers have to try multiple searches over multiple days so they can connect. I'm sure most people don't ship packages every day so figuring out how much to charge for shipping can…
