Since I was young, I've loved anime, and over the years, manga has brought me joy, given me courage, and sparked excitement in my heart. However, as I read more, I realized that many of these manga weren't translated at all. I also came across some AI-based translation tools, but the results often fell short. So, I decided to create a tool that allows manga fans to read and enjoy their favorite manga, no matter the language or whether a translation team is available. This product has just been launched, and there are certainly areas that can be improved. However, with time, I'm confident it…

The graph is free to explore and requires no registration. SynapTale builds a model of a story as a temporal graph made up of nodes (entities) and edges (their actions and relationships). The graph is not a visualization of the wiki. The wiki, timelines, relationship histories, and analytics are projections of the graph. The current demo contains 232 entities, 1,852 edges, and a snapshot of the story’s state at every chapter. By chapter 100, it still remembers a promise made in chapter 8 and turns the story into a set of source-verifiable facts. The most interesting things can be found in…

Just finished my second year at college studying Computer Science, and wanted to try and gain experience as a full stack dev this summer, so I made a website that allows users to create stories using openai's API, using embeddings for custom terms users can define, and create short stories and chapters alike. I'm mainly just looking for some feedback on how I can improve it or make it more presentable, so any help/feedback is welcome and appreciated!

Hi HN, As a huge manga fan and a translator by training, I've always been in awe of the incredible amount of work that fan translators put in. The process isn't just about translation; it involves manually cleaning the original text from the bubbles, redrawing the background art (inpainting), and then carefully placing the translated text back in (typesetting). It's a true labor of love, but it's incredibly time-consuming. I wondered if modern AI could help automate the most tedious parts of this workflow. So, I built AIFandom. It's a web tool where you upload your manga pages, and it…
