Hi HN! I'm the developer of rdx, a mildly popular ad-free, privacy and user friendly Reddit client. This time, I made something for a very specific use case: solving chess puzzles with no internet. We built ChessBoss at the TechCrunch Disrupt hackathon this week. I built 1e4.ai - a chess web app where you play against neural networks trained to mimic human Lichess players at specific Elo ranges. I made a website where you can play chess puzzles against Stockfish! When playing puzzles, neither Lichess nor Chess.com will accept a wrong move, which in my opinion spoils the resolution of the puzzle since only correct moves allow you to keep playing. So, I had the idea for a website where you can play chess puzzles, but if you make the wrong move, the puzzle turns into a game against Stockfish.
