Products that do what Circuit Artist – Circuit simulator with propagation animation, rewind does

Hello, Circuit Artist is a game about drawing digital circuits as pixel art — like MS Paint, but pixels are wires and little triangles are NANDs. Hit play and the simulation runs in real time. It's fully white-box: every wire's state is visible. I launched it last year with a unit-delay simulation that ran until convergence on each update. It worked, but I realized it had some fundamental problems: (i) It hid what was actually happening. Players couldn't tell the difference between a ripple carry adder and a look-ahead adder — everything just resolved instantly. (ii) Design bugs became "game…

Inspired by games like Turing Complete/Virtual Circuit Board/Logic World, I tried to make a mix of aseprite and wiredworld/wired-logic, the idea being the user can build a digital circuit using a "fullstack" pixelart creation workflow. The circuit is just an image. The primitives are (i) connected wires which have undefined, 0 or 1 state during simulation (displayed brighter or darker in function of the state) and (ii) NANDs, which are little pixel triangles. During simulation the user can interact with any wire by clicking on it, toggling its state, which is cool for messing…

This is a little toy project of mine that lets you simulate digital logic graphs. It was inspired by Minecraft's Redstone and the Piet esolang. It's got some serious drawbacks-- you write circuits as PNGs and simulate them with a Python interface. It's slow to run and slow to experiment with. And it is certainly difficult to use for people with any kind of color blindness. But despite that, I hope this can still be a fun toy!

I'm enthralled with using pen plotters to make generative art. Last August at SIGGRAPH, I built an interactive experience for others to see how code can be used to make visual art. The linked blog post is my trials and tribulations of linking a MIDI controller to one of these algorithms and sending its output to a plotter, so that people may witness the end-to-end experience.

Hey, I'm Josh, cofounder of Imbue. We built Sculptor because we wanted a great UI for parallel coding agents. We love Claude Code, but wanted to solve some of the problems that come from running multiple agents in parallel (ex: merge conflicts with multiple agents, reinstalling dependencies with git worktrees, Claude Code could deleting your home directory, etc). Sculptor is a desktop app that lets you safely run Claude Code agents by putting them in separate docker containers. This lets you use Claude without having to compromise on security or deal with annoying tool permission prompts.…

Hey folks, I’ve been working on using control-net to take in a video game level (input as a depth image) and output a beautiful illustration of that level. Play with it here: dimensionhopper.com or read the blog post about what it took to get it to work. Been a super fun project.

Hi HN! We're working on an AI studio product, and have been experimenting with the recently-released ControlNet (https://github.com/lllyasviel/ControlNet) After wasting hours with it, we decided to put together a quick fun project. "Sketch" allows you to draw anything (works w/ touch inputs on mobile too), enter a prompt (it can be as simple as "drawing" and it'll try to guess) and you get something out fast. Keeping it all on a public feed as well, to serve as inspiration. Hope anyone here finds it fun :-)

Hi HN, I made some animations of the most important kinds of transistors using my semiconductor simulation, details of which are on the page. I tried to make the visuals as realistic as possible while also aiming for clarity. If you want to go beyond the charge carriers and look at, for example, the electric field, you can do so in the simulation software. The desktop software also has less common devices like IBGTs and SCRs that have similar animations. The last thread about my software was posted here about a year ago: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43942279

We recently built 2draw, a Drawful-style game where players draw on a shared canvas and race to guess each other's drawings, on tldraw, an infinite-canvas SDK for React. We started wondering what it would take to put an agent in that loop, as an opponent or a rival guesser, and dug into how an agent could read and draw on a tldraw canvas. That research turned into: Agent draw, a tool that lets an agent draw to the canvas for you while you present. You can try it right now, or grab the source: - Live demo: https://tldraw-agent-draw-demo.james-664.workers.dev - Source:…
