Hey HN! I built this free and open-source tool out of frustration with how difficult it is to share vacation photos and pictures of our kids with friends and family. There is no tool that lets me create a shareable web gallery with a great mobile experience, the ability to add detailed descriptions, and no login required. The CLI tool scans a folder and all sub-folders for photos and videos, generates thumbnails optimized for speed and finally creates a static web site to showcase the photos and tell their story. As the gallery is static, you can easily self-host it on any static hosting…

Simply upload a photo of your wall, upload the artwork images, position them, and download the result. It's very lightweight and nothing is uploaded to a server - everything runs directly in your browser. Why I made this: Existing apps (like Artrooms) fell short for me because they only offered stock wall images and limited 3D positioning, especially if your wall isn't perfectly frontal. I wanted something more flexible that would allow me to experiment with more scenarios, even when the photo is taken at a weird angle. The objective is to get a feel of how'd it look like, without the result…

Hey HN, Björn here from FormGrid. I feel like the web got very sanitized and template-y lately, so I made a tool that lets you create forms and microsites with a bit more personality. The result can look like pretty much anything, for example: - CLI: https://share.formgrid.com/templates/sgNeeDu1AUYn2S5d - Pixel art: https://share.formgrid.com/templates/TVsBQkwkg4fx3OW0 - GeoCities: https://share.formgrid.com/templates/TZzJNLkfJqR72N95 - HN: https://share.formgrid.com/templates/QxO3deyBTnDBI8MW I created these…

http://imagestash.org/ Kind of like Instapaper for images. While surfing at home one evening I found the perfect desktop background ... for my work machine. I got to pondering the quickest way to save a random image so I could get to it on all of my devices, got a wee bit carried away with the technical possibilities, and this was the result. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey guys, I needed a way to convert Code, CSV, and Markdown snippets to shareable images so I built this over the weekend. It all runs locally in the browser using a few lines of jQuery. Nothing fancy. Sharing in case someone else might find it useful!
