Hi HN, I’m Philippe, cofounder of CoClick. We believe that current video-conferencing tools are not suited for the sales process. So we built a video-conferencing tool to help SaaS Startups, indie hackers and software developers build better demos. I have always found it funny how challenging it can be to find people to jam on side projects with. There are literally entire sub-Reddits where people post looking for someone to work on a project with. That is super inefficient. There are also newsletters for this (also pretty inefficient). Even though Wave was killed more than 10 years ago, I didn't fully appreciate its value until recently, when I had to spend a fair amount of time in some group email threads discussing complex subjects. I always find myself frustrated by how many steps I have to take to video chat with someone online. There's always too much software to download and install, and too many accounts to remember. The high-end, high-price Cisco conferencing systems I've used are especially fragile. So I built Vidless in a weekend for myself, and I hope you find it useful too. I believe that doing /something/ with someone over and over again is the best way to meet a cofounder. When I get enough people (6-20) in a given city, I will organize an event along the lines of playing board games, going to a driving range, or volunteering in some way. The main point is that it's not just people drinking or standing around, they have to be active participants in the activity.
