Hi, we're Sergey and Serafim. We've been building dev tools at 21st.dev and recently open-sourced 1Code (https://1code.dev), a local UI for Claude Code. Here's a video of the product: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sgk9Z-nAjC0 Claude Code has been our go-to for 4 months. When Opus 4.5 dropped, parallel agents stopped needing so much babysitting. We started trusting it with more: building features end to end, adding tests, refactors. Stuff you'd normally hand off to a developer. We started running 3-4 at once. Then the CLI became annoying: too many terminals, hard to…

Hey HN! I built Retain as the evolution of claude-reflect (github.com/BayramAnnakov/claude-reflect). The original problem: I use Claude Code/Codex daily for coding, plus claude.ai and ChatGPT occasionally. Every conversation contains decisions, corrections, and patterns I forget existed weeks later. I kept re-explaining the same preferences. claude-reflect was a CLI tool that extracted learnings from Claude Code sessions. Retain takes this further with a native macOS app that: - Aggregates conversations from Claude Code, claude.ai, ChatGPT, and Codex CLI - Instant full-text…

Hi y'all. Been working on something that should've been made a long time ago imo. It compiles codebases into O(1) hashmaps that the agent queries to discover the structure of your code/answer questions/write code. It also does complete static analysis checks on any writes the agent makes. Don't take my word for it though. Here are the benchmarks: https://benzi.fly.dev/benchmark. on 2/20 tests, Claude Code (mostly Sonnet on one task) regressed or timed out. Benzi didn't because of course, it has a map it can query and not get lost in the sauce. On the other 18 it…

Hey all! Few weeks ago we realized AI models are now so good you don't need to babysit them anymore. You can kick off a coding task at lunch and Claude Code just... works. But then you're stuck at your desk steering it. We were joking around - wouldn't it be cool to grab coffee and keep chatting with Claude from your phone? Next thing you know, 4 of us are hacking on weekends to make it happen. Dead simple to try: "npm install -g happy-coder" then run "happy" instead of "claude". That's it. We had three goals: * Don't break anyone's flow - Use Claude Code normally at your desk, pick up your…

This weekend I built a multi-agent coding system which, quite unexpectedly, beat Claude Code on Stanford's Terminal Bench! The architecture is straightforward, consisting of an orchestrator agent that deploys explorer & coder subagents to complete complex terminal based tasks, utilising an intelligent context sharing mechanism along the way which makes it all work. The repo has a lot of technical details, and all the code and prompts for you to play around with if you'd like! I had a lot of fun making this, I hope you have fun reading the README, using it yourself, or even extending it! As…

I’ve found coding agents to be great at 1/ finding everything they need across large codebases using only bash commands (grep, glob, ls, etc.) and 2/ building new things based on their findings (duh). What if, instead of a codebase, the files were all your workplace docs? There was a `Google_Drive` folder, a `Linear` folder, a `Slack` folder, and so on. Over the last week, we put together Craft to test this out. It’s an interface to a coding agent (OpenCode for model flexibility) running on a virtual machine with: 1. your company's complete knowledge base represented as…

Hi HN! I'm building Hopsule. If you use AI coding tools like Cursor, Copilot, or Claude, you’ve probably seen this happen: The AI writes good code - but it ignores your architecture. It doesn’t know: - why you chose a specific pattern - which conventions your team agreed on - which decisions are already locked in So it falls back to generic patterns, outdated examples, or random GitHub training data. Over time this slowly breaks the consistency of the codebase. Most teams try to fix this with: - giant Markdown files - wiki pages - long prompts - Slack threads But those aren't…
