A couple of months ago, I built this app to help identify people stuck under rubble. First responders have awesome tools. But in tough situations, even common folks need to help. After what happened in Myanmar, we need something like this that works properly. It has only been tested in controlled environments. It can also be improved; I know BLE is not _that_ effective under rubble. If you have any feedback or can contribute, don't hold back.

Hi HN, I’ve wanted a simple solution to handle Wake-on-LAN sequences for my home and work labs to boot up servers in the right order. I was already dabbling in Rust and thought this would be an interesting project to dive deeper and see if it could work well for this kind of network tool. Hi everyone, I've just released the public repository of RebootX On-Prem (https://github.com/c100k/rebootx-on-prem), letting anyone to connect and manage their infra on their smartphone. In my case the infra is pretty simple : 3 Raspberry Pi. But I'd love to have your feedback and see interesting use cases you could use this for. I have lots of ideas for the next steps. Earthquakes Monitor is a app for Windows Phone that sends voice notifications in near real time whenever an earthquake event has occurred near your location. I go on a lot of backcountry trips where I barely get cell service. If my group splits, nobody knows knows where anyone is until you regroup at camp or at your destination. You can buy Garmin radios or try to set up an ATAK, but ATAK is Android-only and assumes you have a TAK Server running somewhere to make use of all of the functionality.
