Context.dev▲814Hello, My name is Yahia, I've been working on scraping products for a long time and maintain a couple of free sites in my spare time (E.g. knifegeek.io) What prompted this is i've rebuilt scraping infra at every company I've started and finally just made it a product. Pass a URL, get clean markdown, html, images, sitemap or pass a domain, get logos, colors, socials, industry data. Goal is to offer a better service than VC funded competitors at a fraction of the cost. Stealth is included and automatic at no additional cost (normally an upcharge by alternatives). Would love your honest thoughts.

Alright so if you run a self-hosted blog, you've probably noticed AI companies scraping it for training data. And not just a little (RIP to your server bill). There isn't much you can do about it without cloudflare. These companies ignore robots.txt, and you're competing with teams with more resources than you. It's you vs the MJs of programming, you're not going to win. But there is a solution. Now I'm not going to say it's a great solution...but a solution is a solution. If your website contains content that will trigger their scraper's safeguards, it will get dropped from their data…

I've always wanted a better way to explore the authorship data embedded in a Git commit log. I'm having fun building a CLI tool to do this. It's a bit like the "Contributors" tab on Github that shows you how many commits each contributor has made but much faster and with many more options. If you get a chance to try it out, please let me know. I'd love to hear feedback and suggestions. Thank you!

DeepDocs▲132In my 15+ years as a developer, one of the most frustrating problems I've seen across teams is outdated documentation. I’ll be honest, I skip it myself. You ship a feature and move on. Then a month later, someone is onboarding or debugging and runs into stale docs that no longer reflect the code. I tried fixing this with tools like Swagger and Sphinx-autodoc, but they only work for narrow use cases like OpenAPI or annotations. They don’t help with the high-level stuff like onboarding tutorials, SDK guides, or user-facing examples. You still have to keep things like docstrings in sync, and…

Built this because I'm sick of keeping documentation up to date when everyone's using AI tools now. It will not only generate missing docs / update / remove docs as they need alignment, but you can hook up the MCP to whatever agent is being used these days and it'll inform it of codebase conventions & relevant documentation, telling it to update docs as it find them or as it makes changes (in the same PR as related work), and reduces spend on tokens by getting things right the first time without having to grep the whole codebase for context or go through 5 rounds of "follow our…

Hey HN -- I'm a solo dev. Built this because I got tired of AI crawlers reading my HTML in plain text while robots.txt did nothing. The core trick: shuffle characters and words in your HTML using a seed, then use CSS (flexbox order, direction: rtl, unicode-bidi) to put them back visually. Browser renders perfectly. textContent returns garbage. On top of that: email/phone RTL obfuscation with decoy characters, AI honeypots that inject prompt instructions into LLM scrapers, clipboard interception, canvas-based image rendering (no img src in DOM), robots.txt blocking 30+ AI crawlers, and…

This is a small PoC Python project for web server access logs analyzing to classify and dynamically block bad bots, such as L7 (application-level) DDoS bots, web scrappers and so on. We'll be happy to gather initial feedback on usability and features, especialy from people having good or bad experience wit bots. *Requirements* The analyzer relies on 3 Tempesta FW specific features which you still can get with other HTTP servers or accelerators: 1. JA5 client fingerprinting (https://tempesta-tech.com/knowledge-base/Traffic-Filtering-b...). This is a HTTP and TLS layers…

Hey HN, We’re two developers (co-founders) with a team of 20 who got tired of spending hours reviewing PRs, so we built Infinitcode.ai, an AI-powered code reviewer that: - *Summarizes PRs in plain English*: No more deciphering 1,000-line diff jungles - *Catches more than bugs*: Security holes, performance pitfalls, code smells, even typos (yes, we’ll flag “vurnerabilities” and vulnerabilities) - *Zero onboarding*: Works instantly—no “let me learn your codebase for weeks” nonsense. Why we’re posting: We’re in alpha and need brutal honesty. Roast our tool, mock our UI, or tell us why AI will…
