Products that do what Ergonomic mouse where you lift your fingers to click does
I've developed a mouse where I click by lifting my fingers instead of pressing them down. I've found that this helps with my RSI and I'm running an Indiegogo campaign (like Kickstarter) to see if others are interested in me doing a production run. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the idea! http://igg.me/p/173482?a=881199

Hello HN, last week, I stumbled over an old project of mine called Click The Number. I built it about six years ago to compare my clicking and reaction speed with that of my friends. The idea is simple – just click on the numbers in orders as fast as possible. I couldn't resist and rebuilt a lot of parts again, making them a bit nicer. I updated the design and added some features like a personal high score. It lets you keep track of your own best time (which makes it ever so _slightly_ more addictive). I'm curious what you think about it, and if you have any ideas where I could take it. Have…

Over the last couple of months I have designed and written Keys, a Mac application the helps learning typing and that is supposed to meet Mac users standards for a well-designed application. My goal is to become a micro-ISV or indie developer. The app is only in the Mac app store for now (no trial yet), since end of May, and I have been busy putting together a website and a personal blog since. I would be very interested what the HN community thinks about the application, how you like it, and how it is presented, from a business angle. Prior to this project, I have done much more work on…

TLDR: got tired of my desk, so now I touch grass while coding from my watch. Ever since the 2021 GH Copilot beta saved me from dual carpal tunnel, I figured AI's main benefit in coding would be cutting typing while keeping productivity. That's turned out true; no one writes their own code lately. Why wouldn’t you have AI do the first draft? Why not your updates too? I expected phone coding to rise next, but tiny keyboards wreck your hands even faster. To put this into practice, I started leaving my Windows desktop on 24/7 and SSHing in from my phone, yet the problem just transformed:…

Based on the framerate-independent momentum simulation[0] that I used in my TPMouse script[1] If you've ever used a mouse with Infinite-scrollwheel such as Logitech, this utility for Windows basically recreates that functionality for any generic mouse. Actually, it's even better than that: this allows for simultaneous horizontal and vertical scrolling, so essentially it combines two of the best features of the Logitech MX Master -- horizontal wheel, and unlocked momentum scrolling -- into one intuitive control scheme. To enable horizontal scrolling, set the X-sensitivity to a value you…
