In Spain, there's a betting game called La Quiniela: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Quiniela_(Espa%C3%B1a) Players predict the outcome of 14 football matches (home win, draw, away win). You win money if you get at least 10 correct, and the prize amount depends on the number of winners. Since all bets are public, the number of winners and the corresponding payouts can be estimated for each of the 3^14 possible outcomes. We can also estimate their probabilities using bookmaker odds, allowing us to compute the expected value for each prediction. As a side project, I wanted…

Hey everyone! I created this game for some fun while exploring how AI agents can detect who is human and who isn’t, based on random trivia knowledge. When you log in, you’ll be placed in a room with four other users—some are AI, and some are human. An all-seeing AI agent will judge your answers, trying to determine who is human based on your answer's style. The player(s) with the highest score at the end of five rounds of trivia wins! It’s free to play. Just type in a username and get started. Have fun!

I built a daily word association puzzle where you engage in a quiet, collaborative mind meld with AI. I'd love to have folks try it out and tell me what they think! Here's how it works: 1. Enter your first word to reveal the AI's word of the day. 2. Don't think too hard about it. It's just a starting point. 3. Both of you think of a word that connects the two. 4. To win, you need to say the same word. 5. You have 8 guesses to converge. 6. Need a hint? The AI will drop a riddle in your final two guesses. HOW DOES IT WORK? After the user_word + ai_word are submitted, I trigger two separate LLM…

https://www.moneyga.me The goal in this game is to make as much virtual money as possible. Features include working pleb jobs, operating various forms of businesses, trading items, currencies and stocks on The Exchange and so on. I have posted this on HN before, but it has been a couple of years now and some things have changed in the game. Most notably the addition of NPC buyers and NPC workers, which make the economy much more alive. Thank you for your attention and good weekend everybody!

I haven't seen anything like this so I decided to build it in a weekend. How it works: You see a bunch of things pulled from Wikipedia displayed on cards. You ask yes or no questions to figure out which card is the secret article. The AI model has access to the image and wiki text and it's own knowledge to answer your question. Happy to have my credits burned for the day but I'll probably have to make this paid at some point so enjoy. I found it's not easy to get cheap+fast+good responses but the tech is getting there. Most of the prompts are running through Groq infra or hitting a cache…

I had an idea on a competition in a highly constrained environment: 32x32 matrix, with bots running code you write! The live site is https://kingofthegrid.com/. Each bot emulates Z80 CPU and they all get equal execution time, so the most efficient algorithm wins. Bots can move, eat, clone themselves, and most importantly, survive the competition. Each submission, leaderboard is re-calculated, such that each participant has a match against each other, and the bot that makes the most wins gets to the top. It includes includes an online in-browser IDE:…

Hey HN, we built an Econ+Finance database to let AI agents do investment research. We spend a lot of tokens to organize macro releases and SEC filings into a clean format, so that your agents have more context to do actual analysis. The problem AI agents are great at data analysis. But they become ineffective if most of their context window is spent on gathering and cleaning data, instead of validating hypotheses. Data in the wild is messy and rarely standardized. Definitions and measurements change over time. This problem is compounded by a fragmented data universe. Point solutions exist…
