24 alternatives to European tech news in 6 languages
I built a multilingual news aggregator for European tech in 6 languages (EN, DE, FR, ES, IT, NL), filterable by audience (consumers, businesses, government) to help users discover relevant European alternatives. A few interesting technical challenges: PATTERN-BASED IMAGE GENERATION Generic AI images all look the same ("holographic businessman with laptop"). I solved this with a JSON database of 60+ concrete visual patterns—context-aware selection prevents repetition. Funding news → coins/contracts, security → locks/shields. Much more visual diversity. Still needs tweaking though.…

An honest to god, non-algorithmic reverse chrono list of tech news that passes my signal-to-noise tests, updated hourly. A lightweight a page design as I've been able to keep; simple, clean, fast. No commercial features or aspirations - this is a passion project, something I've been fooling around with on and off for decades. There's a "Top" view too with an LLM edited front page & summary, and categorized views for a large number of topics - see the Directory. A few more buried features to explore, but the fundamental use case is pop in, scan, exit - fast and concise. Your feedback would be…

I built a system that monitors ~200,000 news RSS feeds in near real-time and clusters related articles to show how stories spread across the web. It uses Snowflake’s Arctic model for embeddings and HNSW for fast similarity search. Each “story cluster” shows who published first, how fast it propagated, and how the narrative evolved as more outlets picked it up. Would love feedback on the architecture, scaling approach, and any ways to make the clusters more accurate or useful. Live demo: https://yandori.io/news-flow/

Lately I've felt exhausted due to the deluge of AI/GPT posts on hacker news, and have seen similar grumblings. I threw together this frontend that filters out anything with the phrases AI, LLM, GPT, or LLaMa for use until the hype dies down a bit. Before anyone asks, yes I did try to use ChatGPT to help, and while the code it provided was helpful, it needed some heavy bug-fixing. Edit: One other note I forgot to mention. The favicon is generated by Stable Diffusion, I asked it to generate an "Aritificial Intelligence Favicon", and then I added the red circle with line through it.

Hey HN! I've always found it hard to keep up with the latest AI research, so I built Arxiv Feed! https://arxiv-feed.vercel.app/ It's basically a feed of AI research papers + a one-liner explaining what problem its solving, etc. You can also click on any paper to get a TL;DR. Right now, I've only indexed a few hundred large language model papers, but will expand to indexing AI papers in other topics. Thinking of also adding a way for people to up-vote/down-vote papers. Would love to hear any thoughts/feedback! :D Thanks!

I decided to build my own AI feeds reader since I wanted features I couldn't find, or at least not in the way I wanted to, for instance: - Filter news by interest/category - Cluster same story from different sources into one - Show short summary of each new so you can skip if it's not really that interesting to you - Track relevant AI figures, but not only their tweets and posts but also their appearences in articles and interviews I'm still tuning it and improving it everyday.

I recently discovered that LLMs can generate hilarious tech article titles, so I took it to the next level by generating coherent and entertaining comment threads, article content, and images. It will be automatically updated, so you'll never get bored. Enjoy! P.S. I've added robots.txt so I hope it doesn't get indexed.

Hey folks! This is a project that I've been working in my free time for the past few months. It's a news aggregator that uses AI to select relevant articles and summarize them. The default sources are frameworks and libraries' updates, popular HN topics, and languages' subreddits threads that make past a certain threshold. You can run a local instance (needs an OpenAI key) and customize it with your own sources, and adjust the prompt as well. The resulting website can be browsed at https://dev-radar.com/ My next experiment will be with local news. I'm building some feeds with…

GPT Image▲14Hey HN, I built a web tool that wraps the latest AI image generation models with a conversational interface. The main idea is you can iterate on images through natural dialogue instead of rewriting prompts from scratch each time. Key features I focused on: - Multi-turn editing (the AI remembers previous context) - Character/style consistency across multiple images - Multi-image fusion Not affiliated with OpenAI – the name is just a playful nod. Would love feedback from this community, especially on the UX and what features would be useful for technical users. Try it:…

StayUpAI▲11Hi HN! I just launched StayUpAI, an all-in-one platform to stay ahead in the AI world. It aggregates AI news from multiple sources (articles, research papers, YouTube), then uses AI to summarize all news daily or weekly. Core features: - Unified AI news feed (with source/language/theme filters) - Daily & weekly AI summary emails - Summaries for each news item (papers, YouTube, articles) - Multilingual news (with translation) - Free to start, no personal info needed for a quick test I built this because tracking AI news is overwhelming, and I wanted a tool that does the curation…
