24 alternatives to FAIM: Time-Series Forecasting API

Hi, I’m Andrei — We’ve built FAIM, a serverless platform for running inference with foundation time-series models like Chronos2, TiRex, and FlowState. It’s built on Nvidia Triton and GCP, so you can get forecasts in seconds without managing any infrastructure. We built it because we believe the lack of accessible infrastructure for foundation time-series models is one of the main reasons these models haven’t yet spread widely in industry. To try it out, register on https://faim.it.com/ to get your API key, then run models serverlessly via our Python SDK:…

We’ve built a Python SDK for running inference on foundation models designed for time-series and tabular data. They are new SOTA models for time-series and tabular tasks and work out of the box. They do not require model training or feature engineering. The link to the GitHub repository is: https://github.com/S-FM/faim-python-client

Hi HN! We're Gabriel & Viraj, and we're excited to open source TensorZero. To be a little cheeky, TensorZero is an open-source platform that helps LLM applications graduate from API wrappers into defensible AI products. 1. Integrate our model gateway 2. Send metrics or feedback 3. Unlock compounding improvements in quality, cost, and latency It enables a data & learning flywheel for LLMs by unifying: • Inference: one API for all LLMs, with <1ms P99 overhead • Observability: inference & feedback → your database • Optimization: better prompts, models, inference strategies • Experimentation:…

Hi HN, I’m the maker of ChartGen AI. Last year, we launched a text-based AI agent called Ada.im. After analyzing thousands of user interactions, we stumbled upon a pattern we hadn't expected: users were constantly trying to paste data rows and ask for visual representations, but the text-based model couldn't handle it well. We realized that for marketers, seeing the trend is more valuable than reading about it. We pivoted that insight into a standalone tool: Drag & Drop: Upload raw CSVs (FB Ads, GA4, TikTok, etc.). Processing: We map the disparate column names into a unified schema. Viz: It…

After months of brewing the perfect recipe in our AI kitchen, we're beyond excited to introduce Sulie - a fully managed (Model as a Service) platform for time series forecasting that actually works! From day one, we've had one mission: make powerful time series forecasting as easy as ordering your morning coffee. Now, businesses can make accurate forecasts from their data without the hassle of building complex models from scratch. We kept hearing the same frustrations from data teams trying to work with foundation models for time series forecasting: 1. "The zero-shot performance is about as…

Hey HN! I’m the founder of Unify, and we’ve just released our Model Hub, which provides a collection of LLM endpoints with live runtime benchmarks all plotted across time: https://unify.ai/hub A key finding is that static tabular runtime benchmarks for LLMs simply do not work. It’s necessary to take a time-series perspective, and plot the variations through time. We currently have 21 models provided by: Anyscale, Perplexity AI, Replicate, Together AI, OctoAI, Mistral AI and OpenAI, with more on the roadmap. We test across different regions (Asia, US, Europe), with varied…

Hey HN! A few months ago we shared our AI dataset generator as an open source repo, and the response was incredible (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=44388093). We got requests from folks who wanted to use it without the hosting overhead, so we created both options: a hosted version (https://www.metabase.com/ai-data-generator for instant use and the source code fully open (https://github.com/metabase/dataset-generator) for anyone who wants to self-host or contribute. Hi HN! We partnered with the Atlas team to build a tool called AI Predict [0] that allows anyone to ask any question about the future and get a thoroughly researched, AI-generated prediction on how likely it is to be true. How it works: Atlas replicated a Berkeley paper [1] that showed LLMs could make predictions as accurate as the crowd. We’re using a mix of models from OpenAI and Anthropic, with information retrieval powered by NewsCatcher [2]. The system is live and fully functional, though it might struggle with hyper-local questions outside of the public domain (e.g., “Will I have…

I recently built a small open-source tool to benchmark different LLM API endpoints — including OpenAI, Claude, and self-hosted models (like llama.cpp). It runs a configurable number of test requests and reports two key metrics: • First-token latency (ms): How long it takes for the first token to appear • Output speed (tokens/sec): Overall output fluency Demo: https://llmapitest.com/ Code: https://github.com/qjr87/llm-api-test The goal is to provide a simple, visual, and reproducible way to evaluate performance across different LLM providers, including…

G'day, HN! I'm one of the maintainers of `llm`. I've been working alongside a trusty group of contributors to bring this project to life, and we're now at a point where we're ready to share it with the world. Large language models (LLMs) are taking the computing world by storm due to their emergent abilities that allow them to perform a wide variety of tasks, including translation, summarization, code generation, and even some degree of reasoning. However, the ecosystem around LLMs is still in its infancy, and it can be difficult to get started with these models. `llm` is a one-stop shop for…

In other words, we use AI to automatically map data between any two data schemas, and output the transformed data to you. We are live with customers and are just beginning to open up our product to more prospects. Although we do not have a sandbox yet, here is a video walkthrough of how…

Current AI-assisted CLI tools are often part of larger systems and work better on Linux. I built llm-term to address these. It's a Rust-based tool that compiles into a single binary file. You only need to download the binary, add it to your PATH, and configure your OpenAI key to get started. While llm-term offers an option for gpt-4o, it works great with gpt-4o-mini. So it's not costly. I appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

Since yesterday, I've created a dataset out of a few docs I had (hackathon organization instructions) and then started fine tuning qwen 3.5. So it only took a few hours! I'm impressed by the ease of use - it's a chatbot and even if you don't have a lot of experience you can follow steps. Though don't want to undermine it, I'm sure could be a great fit for serious labs too.
