Hey guys and gals! I'm learning Go at the moment and LOVING it. I was hoping to get constructive feedback on a project I'm working on - goatee - which is a notification server that utilizes Redis pub/sub and WebSockets. It's fairly bare-bones at the moment but I'm hoping to add in a lot more features as time goes on such as queueing and WebSocket channel subscriptions (via Go Socketio possibly).

I've been building go-tui (https://go-tui.dev), a terminal UI framework for Go inspired by the templ framework for the web (https://templ.guide/). The syntax should be familiar to templ users and is quite different from other terminal frameworks like bubbletea. Hi All, I felt like I was re-inventing the wheel by bolting similar channel architectures onto different Go structs repeatedly so I decided to extract some common types into into one library so that they would be easier to re-use: - oneshot - spsc - spmc - mpsc - mpmc - broadcast - watch The types are inspired by Rust channels so if you're coming from Rust they should feel familiar. I'm an engineering student at Waterloo building stateful AI agents, and I kept hitting the same wall: whenever my Python scripts crashed or dropped a connection, the underlying Puppeteer or Ollama processes would just sit there orphaned, eating RAM until the node OOM-killed itself. Standard load balancers break sticky sessions, and passive HTTP timeouts are too slow for cleanup. In this short period, I gained a significant amount of traction from the community, and it resulted in over 140 stars on GitHub. A week ago, to check how it performs, I ran benchmarks with a similar package, Pond, which has been managed for years. This is my personal todo app, which I made a while back after the original https://xit.jotaen.net/ post. tuido is written in go, with the bubbletea tui framework. My daily workflow involves creating YYYY-MM-DD.md and taking notes, many of which are effectively low-level todos that fall below the threshold for more public or involved issue trackers. Problem was that these half-hazard todos weren't tracked at all. After seeing the [x]it spec, it seemed clear that a little tooling could fix this. I've been reasonably happy with it.
