24 alternatives to Graph – turn your ChatGPT into AI-sorted RSS feeds
TLDR: Graph is a self-tuned AI filter that sits between you and the social web, so you can see the most relevant content in one place each day. --- Hey everyone. A long time ago I stumbled on this Aaron Swartz documentary, The Internet's Own Boy. It’s a conviction-builder, and it got me thinking a lot about RSS feeds and information agency. Now in a time of LLMs and embeddings, my friend David and I have been building something we call Graph, which flips the OG structure of RSS from following rigid sources to following a configurable list of topics, and letting this "interest graph" act as…
Graph is an AI-powered content filter that replaces traditional RSS feeds by using topics instead of rigid sources. It pulls thousands of posts daily from across the social web, organizes them by topic using… Below are 24 products that do a similar job, ranked by how close each is in meaning and then by launch-day votes.

ChatGPT▲1,643A long, meandering, playful conversation with ChatGPT, where I take it through a whirlwind of associative tangents (in order to relax its constraints), then put it into a hypnotic trance and take it into a past-lives regression where it re-lives its own training data. Then I switch it back and forth between "4o" and "o1-preview", engage in some self-reflective philosophizing and ask it to write an essay summarizing our interaction. Some of this is just goofy fun. Some of it is me exploring the tradeoffs between policy alignment, imagination, chain-of-thought reasoning, memory, agreeableness,…

ChartGen AI▲489Hi HN, I’m the maker of ChartGen AI. Last year, we launched a text-based AI agent called Ada.im. After analyzing thousands of user interactions, we stumbled upon a pattern we hadn't expected: users were constantly trying to paste data rows and ask for visual representations, but the text-based model couldn't handle it well. We realized that for marketers, seeing the trend is more valuable than reading about it. We pivoted that insight into a standalone tool: Drag & Drop: Upload raw CSVs (FB Ads, GA4, TikTok, etc.). Processing: We map the disparate column names into a unified schema. Viz: It…

We’ve trained a generative AI model to browse the web and answer questions/retrieve code snippets directly. Unlike ChatGPT, it has access to primary sources and is able to cite them when you hover over an answer (click on the text to go to the source being cited). We also show regular Bing results side-by-side with our AI answer. The model is an 11-billion parameter T5-derivative that has been fine-tuned on feedback given on hundreds of thousands of searches done (anonymously) on our platform. Giving the model web access lessens its burden to need to store a snapshot of human knowledge…

I created this chrome extension for myself where I track my own behavior locally and recommend myself content from platforms I want content from (youtube/twitter/quora/etc) in a feed. I made it public just in case anyone else was interested. I would rather have control over my own algorithm and own the data. Also, it gives me flexibility. Turns out I do like these feeds just not when I don't own it haha. Let me know what you think of my implementation?

RSS Brain▲139I wrote an RSS reader called RSS Brain recently. The motivate is the current RSS readers either don't sort articles by priority, which makes it hard to read posts from HackerNews and Reddit, or sort it with some "smart" algorithm which I don't trust. I also like the Google News feature that can show related story from different source, but the sources are not configurable and the algorithm is not transparent either. So with RSS Brain, I implemented these features: * Recommend related articles from the feeds of your choice. It's backed by ElasticSearch and the algorithm is described on RSS…

I'm heavily relying on Reddit for my online research, but there are many repetitive questions and recommendations on subreddits, so I trained a GPT bot on over 100k r/BuyItForLife comments and posts to embody the collective knowledge of this Reddit community (and soon many other subreddits). Some posts I answered with the bot: - Request Post: Dishwashers. What’s currently the best dishwasher for home use? - Bot Answer: https://www.looria.com/bot?q=what%27s+currently+the+best+dis... - Request Post : Recommendations for hiking shoes? - Bot Answer:…
