I’ve been experimenting with embedding an Claude Code/Cursor-style coding agent directly into the browser. At a high level, the agent generates and maintains userscripts and CSS that are re-applied on page load. Rather than just editing DOM via JS in console the agent is treating the page, and the DOM as a file. The models are often trained in RL sandboxes with full access to the filesystem and bash, so they are really good at using it. So to make the agent behave well, I've simulated this environment. The whole state of a page and scripts is implemented as a virtual filesystem hacked…

Hi HN, Francesco from Cua here. I hacked this project together last weekend, inspired by the Codex Computer-Use release and lessons learned from deploying GUI-operating agents for our customers. The main problem: when a UI automation process controls a desktop app today, it usually takes over the human’s session. Your cursor moves, keyboard focus gets stolen, windows jump to the front, and you have to stop working until the agent is done. That is why we have historically avoided encouraging users to run these processes directly on their host machine, instead relying on VMs or GUI containers…

Hey HN, I'm Andrew, one of the creators of Void. I made this open source version of Cursor where you can get all of Cursor's core features but in a fully-customizable IDE (ctrl+k, ctrl+L). We love Cursor but there are so many other features we want to build, like allowing AI to edit multiple files at once, or giving AI better understanding of your file system. Void is the open-source, fully customizable tool we've been wanting. The hard part: we're building Void as a fork of vscode. The repo has great documentation for extensions, but going deeper gets pretty involved. All of the code is…

Hi HN, I challenged myself to build a multiplayer game in just 1 hour. My goal was to experience the distributed processing capabilities of Elixir and Phoenix LiveView firsthand by creating a simple web app. It allows everyone to see each other's cursors in real-time and fight a boss together. This is currently a beta version, and I plan to ship new features every week. It's deployed on Koyeb. I'd love to hear your feedback on the performance!

Hi! We noticed that our users extensively use Shuffle (a visual editor for developers) in conjunction with Cursor. That's why we built the Shuffle CLI, a lightweight tool that creates a seamless bridge between Shuffle and Cursor. With this CLI, you can: * Sync your visual components from Shuffle directly into Cursor projects * Automatically generate clean, editable code from your designs * Keep your design and dev workflows tightly integrated without copy-pasting or re-exporting We built this to reduce the friction between prototyping and production. If you're using Cursor as your IDE and…
