Products that do what Had That Beer - Many many weekends project does

It is a simple beer checklist site where you can keep track of the beers you have had and what you thought of them. I started this site around September of last year as I wasn't satisfied with any of the beer rating sites available for keeping track of what I have had. It is still a little rough around the edges and is a continual work in progress, as I am the only one working on it. But please check it out and send on any feedback. I built didtheywinornot.com this week in my spare hours before work. Currently it only does baseball scores, but as new seasons start in the fall, I think I'll expand it to other sports. Would love some feedback and any ideas as to how to make it better, keeping in mind that this is meant to be single purpose and not at all bloated. Did I miss a stat that people really care about? Is the amount of information good enough?

Hey HN! I built this over the weekend. It is basically an extremely rudimentary crowd sourced recommendation system for anything in any city. I know that I could easily look this information up on Yelp but I thought it might be nicer to simply look up something like "the best steak in new york" and get that information. The database is almost empty but if you look up the "best coffee in ann arbor" you'll get a result which I seeded. Go ahead and contribute what you can. Ill be adding CAPTCHAs soon to prevent spammers. Here is the link: http://www.krowd.me

I'm nearing the finish line on a side-project that has taken me longer than I care to admit. I'd really like to get some feedback from you guys if you would: http://recikeep.com The site is centered around a bookmarklet with some extra server-side processing. You "recikeep" a recipe and the ingredients are all parsed out into Qty/Measure/Ingredient/Prep (as best as I can), and then you build menus from what you have kept. Since the ingredients are parsed out, I can generate a shopping list from your menu that's a combination of all of the ingredients across the recipes. Any feedback would be…

Hi guys, long time lurker, first time (non-comment) submission. I've been working on homebrewvault.com (mostly nights) for what seems like forever. I'm just about finished with the core product and am almost ready to do some promotion. I've always followed the "Show HN" submissions because they seem to produce really valuable feedback. So before I take the plunge, I'd love to hear what you guys think. I'm also going with the "if you aren't embarrassed by your first release, you aren't releasing early enough" philosophy I first learned of here. For a little more background: As a homebrewer of…

I was lucky enough to have my site trending on Friday (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=25872922). It’s an icon site that lists open source icons. I wanted to share some stats on the results after 3 days. Worth noting was that I submitted it on a Friday morning (at which point I went for a walk and a coffee; eek). - 24,997 page views. I (embarrassingly) didn’t have GA set up when I first submitted it, so this is probably missing a few hundred page views - 21 “feedback” emails (half of which were spam). I assume such a high percentage of these were spam because my Feedback…

Primary link: http://hackerscoffee.org I thought Coder’s Coffee (http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=4010355) was a great idea but disagreed with a few aspects of its execution (registration solely via linkedin, iOS app only, manual approval process, brittle: crashed every time I used it on my phone). I noticed the app had stopped working entirely last week, and went to the site (http://www.coderscoffee.com) to discover that the project seems to be no more. I re-implemented the concept, minus my grievances, in about 20 free hours I had last week (and also took the opportunity to make a…

Inspired by the following post by photon_off... http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1683309 I made karmurl last night. It's a simple app where you submit a URL for feedback, then for every piece of feedback you give to someone else's, you get to read one piece of feedback for yours. http://karmurl.com

Awhile back I launched http://7courses.com on here to get some preliminary feedback. The reception was positive, but there were a few issues that had to be addressed. Mainly, the font, and the lack of a normal user system (limited to openID logins). This has been changed, along with a whole ton of other features which may or may not be immediately apparent. Either way, I think this project has come a long way, and hope you can find some use from it. http://7courses.com http://twitter.com/7courses 7courses is a central place where you can store and collect all your recipes.
